I can read, but that doesn't answer the question.
Well that's 40 dollars I should never have spent

Checked a gamespot article, they said they're yours to keep.

Awesome, I might actually go back to BF4 now, haven't played it almost since release. Been wanting to try to get back in it but with all the expansions I figured out I was gonna be missing out on a lot of the content.
They've updated the maps section on the Battlefield website to include a free map we'll be getting in December called "Giant's Shadow" based of the Battle of Selle

I like the guy one-handing the stocked C96 in the Giant's Shadow picture. I have done it with mine and it's a cool feeling. The weight of the stock corrects for how front-heavy the C96 is and makes it point very, very nicely.

3 smackers says they didn't even think about that and just put it one-handed because it looks cool
I bought my friend BF4 since the dlc is free so now we can play together =)

It does make me wonder what the other tanker/pilot weapons are going to be. I'm guessing a stocked luger with a drum will be one but what else? A survival shotgun like a double barrel or a drilling?
They'd be goobers not to have a coach gun and a drilling, considering both were officially issued as survival weapons for pilots :v:

I hope to see some revolvers as pistol unlocks too. I'm surprised there weren't any in the beta. I expect Webleys and M1917s in particular but there are plenty from the period that would be great to see like the Reichsrevolver. I also won't be surprised if a Peacemaker shows up. Patton is one notable individual who carried Peacemakers around that time period (and even through WW2)

Also the S&W Russian

They had a stock/bayonet for the Webley Mk VI, so that should be in there with the carbines.

The Nagant revolver would be a revolver that would fit the timeframe too, but that's obviously being saved for Russian Empire DLC
I forgot how much of a pain battlelog is if you're trying to play with friends. Solo I never have issues with it, but when I'm trying to group up with a friend everything goes tits up
To anyone who's preordered: click on the icon in your origin library for a pretty windmill.

did it for me with the expired beta version
I probably won't buy the game at launch but I find it extremely cool that BF1 has more or less thrust WW1 into the mainstream gaming audience's mind.
Sweet, now with the free DLC I at least have something new to play with until the 21st.

I feel like DICE are being a lot more open with BF in general now than what they were at BF4 launch and before, and I think it probably has to do with how much hate they got after BF4's launch and probably gave them the wake up call they needed.
Like they seem more willing to show BF1 than they did with previous games as they went straight into showing the multiplayer instead of having a boring scripted singleplayer trailer a few weeks before E3 and then have to wait for anything Multiplayer to show up a month later, I mean we've still to even see anything about the singleplayer campaign and we've already seen what a lot of the multiplayer maps are based around, and even already talking about free map additions if you go to the battlefield website, even game modes too with that operations mode that looks like an expanded mix of rush and conquest.
This might be an unpopular opinion but it reminds me of 1942-bf2 era DICE and I'm loving it so far.
68 Million horse kills.
Jesus fuck.
I've been trying to get into bf4 since I found it cheap and the dlcs are free, and I just can't do anything, I get obliterated every 2 seconds and the giant maps confuse me. :(

I have nitpicky asshole comments about the historical accuracy of the game but I completely agree about this. I love when a game or TV show or something turns popular attention on a subject that rarely is appreciated or explored. As a first hand example, the first Battlefield game is directly responsible for my interest in WWII.
Quick question, will the BF4 DLCs stay after the 19th of September for those who added them to their games or will they have to be purchased to continue playing afterwards?
In the near future, we'll have more details on the changes we'll be making to the full version of the game (yes, the Light Tank performed a little too well, that will be addressed).
Well it was fun while it lasted :v:

I'm surprised they didnt put the number of light tank kills in the infographic

They probably didn't have enough room.
Assault's going to be interesting in BF1 at launch. They get like 3 submachine guns total but something like 4-5 shotguns. Guarantee it's going to end up with most people using shotguns, despite all the worries about too many SMGs.
my god the new origin looks like fucking shit
It really doesn't.

The BF1 beta ending has left a void that BF4 just can't fill.
https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/battlefield-1-beta-thank-you
BF1's open beta could be the largest ever with 13.2 million players.
