Sounds alot like One Flag, only there's a capture timer when you get it to where it needs to go.
it makes me wonder if there is a capture point or if it is really just anywhere "out in the open"

If they're gonna place it just anywhere I'm sure they'd add some sort of a way to know the general direction the players are supposed to go.
Personally though I would love not having an indication and just having to actually track the pigeon.
It's nice they're just straight up showing things instead of hiding 90% of the game for release.
It makes me think they probably have a lot of confidence in this game, compared to how they were to the lead up to the launch of BF3 and BF4.

I think part of it is that they really need to sell the idea of a WWI FPS to a general audience.
Operations sounds dope.
I've started watching MarbleDuck and after a few videos i can say that i like his content, it's clean and well presented, but he's sort of abrasive and how flat out rude he is to some other Battlefield players (Xfactor and Levelcap notwithstanding) puts me off huge.
I wonder if they're going to bother modelling appropriate models for each faction's Dreadnoughts.
Would be silly to see an Iron Duke-class with an Iron Cross or a Crescent Moon with Star on it :v:

I don't mind it, both of those guys try to use their audience to get the devs to change the game in their favor. I don't think many oldschool Battlefield players like either of them.

Welcome to competitive video game players, especially competitive Battlefield players.

I'm aware that it's like this, but i've always been a firm believer in keeping that on the comp scene. There's no need to call people the things he does outside of that, especially on topics they're just misinformed on rather than like Xfactor who staunchly thinks he's right on all things.

I guess it's just my general "don't be a dick" mindset but not everybody is going to be that way.

Can't believe he would diss hbar+stubby AEK
Heads up:
Revive BF2142 project is going live today on battlelog.co which provides a server backend for 2 and 2142 after the Gamespy servers went down
I don't think you even need to own 2142 to play it
Since they use new master servers, any old progress from the original 2142 won't be brought over and you'll need to make a new account
They've posted some more screens I don't think we've seen yet on their twitter.
The first one looks like another view of Seuz maybe?

Train tracks, but a battleship as well. Hmmm.
I thought that was Paracel Storm at first.
No DICE please the sun was so high in Sinai desert. Dont hurt me like this baby, I want to be able to see.
Altai Range all over again.
Why do they have such a hardon for sun glare, I dont get it.
That has legitimately been my #1 complaint about BF3 and BF4.
Both games have so much shit going on I often struggle far too much to see properly.
Yes, great, you have a pretty new engine to show off but tone it down please

I feel like BF4/BF1 improved a lot from BF3 in that regard. On most maps I can still see people on the other side of the map without zoom. Oddly, I still often don't see tanks.
ATTN: 2142 is now free to play, with community-run master server. "The future of warfare is in the past" my arse!

The beta BF1 map looked great. Hopefully that sets the standard and the screenshot posted above was not the standard for the new maps.
"The future of warfare is in the past" my arse!
It's still true whichever way you cut it. The "future" of warfare (2142) is in the "past" (released 2006).
Apparently i'm pretty good at sniping helicopters with tanks. Me and a friend played Golmud, ended up taking out 8 or 9 helis with a tank, had the whole enemy team after us. Even has a cool double kill where i took out one heli and he took out another as gunner at the same time.

Looks like Suez Canal, i'm still holding hope that the other water focused map lets us drive/walk around on this battleships.
Details on the limits for playing early with EA Access.
