I'll probably hop on warframe for the event then disappear from it for another month or two :v:
A lot of regulars fail to realise that a lot of the non-exterminate solo missions are difficult to beat for new players, it's a hidden problem that DE will never deal with.
That's unfortunate- I suppose they think that discouraged solo players will simply get a group to do it, though how long I spent in queues for said missions I don't think that's a good solution. Even then, I have no trouble with 99% of missions (having a maxed out dual heat sword and Vauban suit doesn't hurt), but taking care of every location in a Defense mission is physically impossible as an individual. Better scaling should help with that, but I doubt they will from what you said. But hey, thanks to the guild, I'll be able to do said mission!...once the event starts and people replay, of course.
Well, solo defense depends on how prepared you are. As a vauban, you can defend pretty easily if you build right, but I don't think you have that kind of build yet. If anything, place some tesla around the defense point but I wouldn't stay next to it. I always run around or at a distance where I can throw a vortex onto the point. Staying near the point is a easy way to get surrounded quick but staying in one place is just bait for when bombards spawn or sniper crewmen\railgun moas. They have harder time aiming at you while you're moving and at a distance and you can pick off individual groups rather than a whole mob. [editline]23rd January 2016[/editline] Well that's just for squishy vauban if you're a chroma then just leave your dragonborn at the point and go wonder why there isn't an option to go into missions coatless and just have the coat appear on you when you use abilities.

There was one where all the points were relatively close between, which I was able to beat, but most have the points on different levels or something that, by the time you get there, will have already been recaptured. There's probably a Vauban build you can use to help that, but so far I haven't been able to tell. (I probably should put more than one tesla down on the points, though, for some reason I thought you could only have one out at a time)
Magikoopa I'm willing to help you out. Clearing the star chart is a bitch, especially considering no one does the start chart, as they're all in the void.
I've always found solo interception to be harder than solo defense, defense is mostly just tedious
I've always found solo interception to be harder than solo defense, defense is mostly just tedious
Agreed, at least Defense you can figure out the best way to stop the enemies from attacking the pod. Interception expects there to be at least a couple people to take care of the points, because take your eyes off for 5 seconds and the enemy has recaptured it and possibly ruined your run. Thankfully it seems joining the guild fixed my need for other people (thanks Gunzer), but not everyone has that and that's unfortunate.
I've always found solo interception to be harder than solo defense, defense is mostly just tedious
Solo interception would be a lot easier if the control point mechanics didn't favor the enemy so heavily
I've always found solo interception to be harder than solo defense, defense is mostly just tedious
So long as you keep in mind where the points are, a vauban with high duration and some range, the augment, and possibly some power strength, can easily solo interception missions. Otherwise they're huge pain in the asses, and even as vauban you'll never fully keep all points on your side. It doesn't help that shit like this happens all the time in interception too.
Mirage's prism blind makes interception trivial. Only thing you have to worry about is nullifiers. My alternative would be frost with giant ass snow globes on each point to slow them down.
I heard something about the Syndicate explosion effect's kills giving xp to the warframe? Should I get a lens on my syndicate weapon or will it not collect focus for the explosion kills?
Solo interception would be a lot easier if the control point mechanics didn't favor the enemy so heavily
It would be great it they didn't have a spawn point basically right next to every cap. Personally, I found the game to be really easy until Phobos and Sedna. The rocket grineer guys, especially, were really a step up in difficulty. It gets a whole lot easier when you figure out how big of a deal mod fusion is.
Oh man, so many new people because of TB. I've helped out 4 of my friends who are new to the game today and boy does running mercury/Mars get old pretty fast :v:
been hunting for Trinty P parts for 4 hours and bears no fruits this is bull ):
I heard something about the Syndicate explosion effect's kills giving xp to the warframe? Should I get a lens on my syndicate weapon or will it not collect focus for the explosion kills?
If explosions do not one-hit kill enemies they've hit, then stealth multiplier is going to reset, and it's going to be pretty much always, because syndicate explosions are only 1,000 damage. And non-regular(like Heavy Gunner or Commanders) enemies on high levels(atleast 30) will not die from that.
How much does Gaia's go for nowadays?
totally wrong thread
Anyone wanna do some level 40 Dark Sector Excavation with me? I wanna feel the void and fusion in my body [editline]24th January 2016[/editline] oh yeah, im Longy22 ingame

i decided to play again whats the best way to progress just do the quest? my mag was alredy around lvl 15 and i had the cronus and a strun so the vor quest to reactive the ship was easy, seems i need to unlock neptune/europa so i can build a sentinal or go for a rhino or trinity frame (for some reason i have the trinity chassis)
Limbo? Who is that?
Man, if there's any problems I have with Warframe, it's those Defense missions. As someone who usually plays solo, those missions are literally impossible for a single individual to play- and that's bad for someone who wants to move to new systems (i.e. there's a Defense mission right before the assassination mission on Mars, and if you're solo then you cannot access Saturn). I suppose that's a design decision, but it's kinda unfortunate. Hopefully I can have a few guild members help me beat those at some point.
Why not just play with randoms?
Limbo? Who is that?
He's like a riftwalker esque frame.
he's le fedora tip man whose main purpose is corpus spy
Even then, he's still outclassed by nearly every other frame that does well in those missions
Why not just play with randoms?
90% of the time, I was waiting on an empty screen for a good 5 minutes before I got bored. Thankfully, just got it done now, so I don't have to worry about that shit again until later!

If so, just hit up clan chat if it happens to you again, we're probably willing to help. If you aren't in the clan you can at least hit me up, ign is Makrin.

Still, there should be a better solution than "oh just do it with other people lol" as it seems the devs prefer to say.
he's le fedora tip man whose main purpose is corpus spy
So a much worse nova/ivara?
So a much worse nova/ivara?
A frame with a cool concept that doesn't really fit in the game because implementation is so meh
