Warframe Megathread IX - Won't somebody PLEASE think of the Children!

Limbo's biggest problem is that most of his abilities are just redundant. His first and second could be turned into the same ability using the same mechanic Ivara's arrows use, and his third should just be an innate part of the rift. That would open up room for 2 new abilities that could take limbo out of the crap hole he's currently in.
I'm only getting him because I'm hedging my bets on a buff/rework in the future.
A frame with a cool concept that doesn't really fit in the game because implementation is so meh
Meh implementation actually fits the game very well :v:
Apparently TB's wife already quit WF because of the grind. Lol

Can't say I blame her- if you're really interested in something be prepared for a lot of hours. For example, I really want an Oberon suit, but in order to get one I have to continually kill Eximers (sic) until eventually I get the three parts, THEN farm for the bits that make it up and THEN wait so many hours before I get that suit. Anyone who leaves cause they find that tedious makes sense to me.
when you play this game long enough you will eventually accumulate literal hundreds of oberon sets if you don't bother to sell them

From the sounds of it, though, is she fell for the trap of grinding for a specific piece of gear rather than just grinding for gear in general. It would be like trying to grind out a Legendary set in Diablo III from level 1. As a new player, you don't have access to all the parts, you don't have access to all the components, you don't really have access to a lot of things. Which is highly unfortunate because that's where Warframe really shines is just how many weapon options are available to you.
looking at the "hat for every tenno" contest, i'm annoyed at how dumb the winners and honorable mentions actually are
the tank one makes sense but all these other ones are like "i'm only picking this because it was well-drawn in photoshop"

I suppose I said a bad example- point is, if you fall for the trap of grinding one specific thing (as said above), you're gonna get discouraged and that makes sense to me.
It's why I just sorta play and then when I notice I have like half or 3/4ths of something I will usually go for the last piece of it and be done.

Timeless River Ivara, y/n?
My friend wants to join Facepunch Clan.
Who do I need to inform?

Yeah I got that impression too, plus an aversion to playing with other people which I can never understand. People in warframe are generally pretty good compared to other multiplayer online games.

The only time I usually look for people is Tower/OD stuff (for obvious reasons) and Sorties (also for obvious reasons). Other than that, I set it to Solo for Spy missions and leave every other mission type as Open.
I remember when I first started playing Warframe back in closed beta, I looked through the warframes and decided Frost is gonna be mine. Then I got to know that Ceres is a pretty high level planet :v:
So I decided to switch to things I can actually obtain.

Man, the nostalgia, it seems like it was just few days ago.
That feel when a properly modded sybaris does better than rhino prime mcgee's boltor prime in the sortie
[editline]24th January 2016[/editline]
the fuck are you doing using a puncture weapon in a corpus sortie asshole
I thought I may as well post what my Ivara looks like:

I think it looks pretty good, tried to base it sorta off of Mothra's wings, but I kinda screwed up. Still works though.
I have yet to get Ivara and when I look at how to get Ivara I just go "eh"
The new Trinity Strega skin is quite the looker...

The 250p pack is worth it IMO, since you also get the Kubrow armor and Bo skin, and the Bo Prime's not that bad of a melee when built right.
I'm afraid of getting a Kubrow- from the little I know about it (still gotta get the incubator), you gotta take care of it and raise it in order to make the perfect animal, and I don't have the time/money for that. My Carrier has been too helpful to me to part with, at the very least, and I don't really have to micromanage it. Of course, I could easily be completely wrong, so I'll see when I get there.

It's not that bad. Early on, when you got no credits, it's pretty hard to take care of it, but later on it's not that hard. You can get an incubator upgrade that makes it really easy to take care of them, to the point where it requires almost no effort at all.
Like 6 of my friends started playing Warframe, they're all asking me for help. But none of them used my referral link :(
Oh well, I forgot how fun it was to support people with that shiny optimism of new players.

Their looting abilities sound cool on paper but they barely work, so if that's what you were looking for dont bother
They do quite a bit of damage but I can't say it's worth the hassle and credits to take care of them both in and out of missions
Tbh the Huras is Pretty good for stealth play, way better than shade.
I just started playing this game. Seems fun so far, but how do I conclude Once Awake? I got the Heat Sword blueprint and nothing else is happening.
What is up with all these digitigrade legs.
breaking away from the common form of various body parts makes things interesting. i'm hoping hydroid's premium skin replaces his hands with BIG MEATY CLAWS.
[editline]25th January 2016[/editline]
oops that was from ages ago sorry
I relogged twice though :/
Tbh the Huras is Pretty good for stealth play, way better than shade.
Really? Because Shade had shitty range, and for invisibility to activate I had to get really close; so is range better on Huras?
Beats me, usually once you get the heatsword bp, it should mark the quest as complete in your codex.
It's marked as complete, it's just that the next quest hasn't popped up.
It's marked as complete, it's just that the next quest hasn't popped up.
Once Awake on it's own doesn't unlock any new quests after completion, for Patient Zero you should complete Once Awake and also unlock planet Eris.
