But the model is much wider in the shoulder and waist than it is in the concept art. I assume those parts need to be the same width as other frames to match. And if they were the same width, making the torso and limbs skinnier would throw off the proportions. If they modeled the shoulder and waist as thin as the art, then I assume they'd be stretched and look bad when applied to the default skeleton for the animations.
Maybe coverop or someone else that knows shit about animation could correct me here, but wouldn't it be really easy to shorten/elongate bones without much change to animation quality? Like say you wanna make someone whose legs are twice as long, making the thighs and shins much longer but having no change to the pivot points.

Well.... stretching/elongate bones could possible work as long as the skeleton is the named the same way as placed in the same spot.
Remember Tele-switch Commander power? The skeleton was stretched but not deformed.
Edit: Btw... It's seems DE has fixed Tele-switch stretch in latest devstream
Yeah it won't use "universal confused animation" which was meant for base corpus/grineer mooks.
Dunno if Heavy gunners still use normal mooks reload animation causing their spines to collapse within itself.

Except the new trinity skin is extremely thin compared to normal trinity, and the loki skin is actually wider than normal loki. If rigging was the issue, then there wouldn't be such massive size differences between either skin. There really is no reason why it's beefier than the concept.

Different warframes already have different proportions with shared animation sets so that's definitely something they can do. However, having a cosmetic skin change the proportions of a warframe may not be desirable as not to mess with the hitboxes, for example
That is of course assuming that that's the reason they changed the design, I'm fairly certain they would have done that if they could/wanted.

Finally got Mesa after a year of not playing, and got a Loki Prime set for 30p.

That's the thing you get for your first Raid on her left shoulder.
did a tower III survival to 60 minutes as trinity, ended up doing 58% of the damage out of a 4 man team. Were they just bad or was I just really really good? I was using a tonkor so that might have something to do with it.
