Is it a popup box with a picture? that's a tutorial; those aren't translated
Is it a message pack in a field? they're useless; ignore them
Is it a daily quest? some were recently added in episode 3
Is it in the casino? Only the necessities are translated; it was recently added in episode 3. This had the highest priority to get translated with EP 3 hit because that's what everyone wanted translated apparently ;;
Is it saga or katori? They were recently added in episode 3
Is it henrietta? She'll get translated one of these days~~~
Is it matterboard 3-1 or later? Those were added in episode 3
Is it astarte? She has useless tutorial filler text; ignore her (although you can find the answers to her quiz questions on cirnopedia (you can get a grey cat tail from it))
Is it a title at the title counter? maybe one of these days someone will care about them; story is more important tho
Is it anything to do with bouncer? It may or may not be translated.

If you're missing more than that then you need to install the story patch.

Just because a lot of people probably haven't seen them, there's occasionally "live" concert events that happen in the shop area at regular intervals.
Quna is basically PSO2's "idol" character so she has a lot of concerts.
there's been some vocaloid concerts too but vocaloid sucks so i'm not posting them kthx

I actually played Phantasy Star Online on a private server or something regualrly at my uncles when i was younger, i used to be there 3-4 days a week and play it.

Phantasy Star Online (PSO) came out on dreamcast, was one of the first real online console games, dreamcast died. Moving onwards it was ported to xbox with more versions and models etc. Phantasy Star Universe (PSU) was a sequel that improved some things and made most things worse on PC and Xbox but it died a while ago (probably what you're thinking of). PSO2 is a more direct sequel to the original only in Japan but it's pretty much the best version we've got so far if you don't mind the fact that half the people around you are playing dress the waifu :v:

So basically you probably played PSU and it got closed in 2010 on pc/ps2 and 2012 on xbox360 but this is a much better version that has way more slapping of lasers swords and space wizards

Well, I mean, it's out. Hype is unnecessary for longer than it takes to download and install an english patch but apparently some people need VPNs now too (just tried the launcher and I'm getting a solid error 107 so I guess I'm in the red).

Don't honestly think there'll ever be a western release because Sega did what Sega does and dragged their feet like assholes so all the western players hopped on the Japanese server and now they wouldn't wanna switch because they have so much progress there.

Error code 249 is due to the "ddos mitigation" backlash that sega did which makes their server nearly impossible to connect to by most international IPs
if you don't have one of a few specific ISPs you can't connect, unless you use a proxy

of all the few japanese sites i visit, the only one i can't connect to is pso2.jp

and it's mostly because sega is only notifying "Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC)" and "Hurricane Electric (HE)" about their routing
