Got my 2nd char Braver to lv.50, the real grind starts now. Also as my 2nd char is a gimmick character I'm going Full dex braver/bouncer mag with craft skills on my ex.lvl 13 vita katana. It's fine for solo play but I'm not going to be outranking anyone in mining defense anytime soon.

Regardless I'm happy with my little moneysink. It's not the greatest weapon but it has a +50 s-atk bonus on it as well as the 5% craft bonus I currently have from my lv.32 bouncer subclass. http://i.imgur.com/LgVSf3M.png
7*+ has a hidden dex bonus that makes your damage 90%-100% 1*-6* don't, so they only do ~45%-100%, not including your actual dex crafting removes the hidden dex bonus but the low rares don't have any bonus at all in the first place so that means every rarity is the exact same when crafted to max extend, and the only difference is the appearance and potential they're also buffing the hidden dex bonus on higher crafted extends (relative to rarity cap) next big patch and i was aware of the dex/crit builds for BR/BO although if you focus on dex, you shouldn't focus on crits if you focus on crits, you shouldn't focus on dex. they nullify each other, making the other one useless. If you (theoretically) do 80-100% of your damage normally, sacrificing additional base damage to hit 115%(?) only a portion of the time isn't worth it. And if you're building for crits you'd be better off with a fighter as either a main/subclass anyways. seeing as you're doing a DEX mag utilizing the BR/BO tree passives, you'd be better off putting those crit points into straight up damage. this may be slightly different with a crafted weapon as i haven't actually put it into action yet, so i don't exactly know how much dex you need in the first place to even get it high enough that dex doesn't matter. Maybe the only way to balance out the hidden dex bonus is to actually spec fully into crits?? so choose any weapon you think looks good, with a good potential, and it'll be the same as your 3* katana.

I'm also still in the process of building the dex mag, it takes ages. Though I'll probably take your advice when it's maxed. Edit: I did some testing and the damage i normally do compared to my crits is very negligible. You're right. I got rid of the crit skills.
so is hunter still the bet subclass for ranger
I figured out the trick behind the darker bombs. You gotta follow the lines from the yellow light like a ladder game.
so is hunter still the bet subclass for ranger
hunter is always best subclass unless you're going for a gimmick or if hunter is your main
I figured out the trick behind the darker bombs. What does dex do anyway?
What does dex do anyway?
makes your hidden "minimum damage" higher, and makes you less likely to receive a critical hit all weapons show maximum damage values crits only do 100% of your damage unless you have specific passives in skilltree to raise it crit chance is only increased by skills that increase crit chance this is a good writeup on the damage system http://ohpso2.wikia.com/wiki/Damage_Formula
I just push buttons till bomb is disabled and it works too [editline]2nd October 2014[/editline] A lot of people i've seen are using gamepads, is it that great or is kb+m better?

You can't exactly lock onto them and I imagine manually aiming is worse than a mouse.
What about hitting weakspots? You can't exactly lock onto them and I imagine manually aiming is worse than a mouse.
What, there is a lock on button. What are you on about?
Typically anything that requires fast and precise aiming is worse on a controller and anything that requires a lot of analogue control is better on a controller, seeing as you have 2 analogue sticks and 2 triggers on most modern controllers. Like it's way nicer to just slightly press an analogue stick than it is to hold control while using wasd in stealth games, and sometimes it's hard to aim melee in precise directions in games like dark souls with m+kb [editline]1st October 2014[/editline]
What, there is a lock on button. you can lock onto weakspots. just scroll through with tab.
you can lock onto weakspots. just scroll through with tab.
Holy shit, I didn't know this.
What about hitting weakspots?
you can lock onto weakspots. just scroll through with tab.
Yeah but not all of them. For ranged characters I usually just end up manually aiming via the over the shoulder view for head-shots and what not.
People should play. I'm lonely :c
People should play. I'm lonely :c
i can only take so much of jogging through the forest waiting for people to watch every blue cutscene that pops up while afin goes on and on about his "eye bow".
People should play. I'm lonely :c
I'll be able to play in a bit, I'm at uni right now.

I spent too much time on this
After all my complaining I finally got one, only downside is the potential boosts weakstance since I put my points into average stance.
