Phantasy Star Online 2 - No, we don't sell XXX over XBL (Oh yeah, it's going Western 2013)

Should i switch to Ranger permanently or should i go back to Hunter? I've heard nothing but bad things about Hunter.
Distractions.
And meatshields too I guess.
Well, since the Rangers and Forces can generally stay out of range of some enemies and pelt the fuck out of things, it sorta just makes Hunters a waste of items/healing for them to go in and get battered while paling in damage output - from what I can tell, anyway.
Played for a while, had fun but it's confusing as hell. I may wait for the English release.

If you need help with anything i'm sure the multiple people playing the game can help you and if they can't then you can always refer to the guide.
Edit: Oh yeah, The game crashed on me so i'm taking a little break. I have no idea how to contact you Frostshock but i'll be in Block 1.
Looking for some help on the Lvl 11 city quest.
The boss at the end pretty much raped me, since I was solo. I'll be on now.
I'm a level 8 or 9 now I forget and I've got a Mag :D I hope the American version has more skills for Fighters/unarmed. I LOVE making new combos. It makes me feel unique/skilled.
I kinda miss the ability to use spells even if you aren't a force. Made human hunter make more sense because you could cast healing spells and such in a pinch. But then again, because pp regenerates in this game I'd never have to buy recovery items again.
this new system works good imo since you can change class at any time
play male/cast if you want best hunter
play female/newman if you want best force
not sure about ranger or human stats
Unlike previous PS games the stat differences between Races and Genders are damn minimal.
As for casting techs as a Hunter... you will be able to in the future, pretty evident by how you gain Teching stats and how one Wire Lance gives you a tech boost, plus the whole datamined sub class deal.
Another thing, in about 5 hours 20 mins from this post the Ship locks for creating characters on 1,2,3,5,10 will be gone if you guys were looking to re-roll on a Ship with more English players. (Ship 2 has the most, Ship 10 Second.)

How do you change class?
I have a light spell that I think is the revive spell, but it doesn't revive people and I don't know what it does. It's the cross looking one. Help?
There is no reviving Tech right now, only Resta (Healing) and Anti (Status Effects)

What should i feed my MAG?, i'm still not sure if i want to be a Hunter or Ranger yet.
RapperKid04/Cassio, Do you want to party up with me and Frostshock? We're around level 9/10.
A friend of mine convinced me to install this and give it a shot. Here's hoping I can even comprehend any of the menus whatsoever...

They shouldn't be too difficult to navigate with the Bumped guide and the other people in the game. Most of Facepunch is on Ship 6 Block 20.
Edit: EMERGENCY CODE: COLLECT, EMERGENCY CODE: ELIMINATION, EMERGENCY CODE: ATTACK, ERROR:630.
And those fucking traps too, seriously, what the fuck.
Well the maintenance started to open up all the ships for character creation, got to say if people don't mind restarting I would recommend going to Ship 2 as that has a largest amount of English players.
Unless of course you guys would rather stay as a small group of FPers.
I can't figure out how to block in this game to save my life.

Shift with melee weapons other than gunblades.
Shift with melee weapons other than gunblades.
Yeah I'm pressing that and I don't see anything change (assuming there's an animation for it.)
So how many people in FP are moving to Ship 2?
Anyone in Ship 6, Block 20 want to party up and do caves?

There's still a large community on 6. I doubt I'd notice the difference on 2. I'm already level 15 going on 16 anyway so I don't see the point.
[editline]16th July 2012[/editline]
Anyone care to join me on some quests? I'll be on.
Apparently the installation stopped at 85% for some reason and a popup appeared but, of course, I couldn't tell what it was saying. So I have no idea at all why the installation stopped.
Okay, snipping my last post; turns out the BIG FANCY BUTTON restarts the updater/installer unlike most other installers. Thought it led to some sort of site or was the game starter (which it probably is).

Can you join me and Frostshock?, we're able to do caves now.

The game should start in the client, there's no need in going to a webpage. What should happen is that you install it, it'll pop up a window for installing the temporary files and then you should have the client after that which takes some time to update.

That's what happened. I was 85% through with the temp file installation before the main one when suddenly it paused, and I spent over half an hour or so trying to figure out how to restart it until I clicked the button that has the box-with-arrows. Doing so booted up the tempfile installation again and I just finished installing it fully now.
Edit: Now comes the fun part - patching. :suicide:
Is anyone from FP online right now?, i'd like to do caves.
Sorry, ended up on TF2 instead :p I'll definitely be on tomorrow!
Info on PSE bursts, according to some guy on the pso2 subreddit.
PSE Burst is a bit fickle.
*Whenever you gain a PSE level, it pops up in the top right near the minimap.
*The PSE level goes up when you kill things and the faster you kill, the faster it goes up.
*Once your PSE hits level 8, you will get the burst timer. At this point, you have so much time to gain level 9.
*Once you hit level 9, you go into PSE Burst! mode and the timer goes to 1 minute.
*There are actually 5 types of PSE, one for each element in the game and you get specific ones for killing enemies of a certain elemental type.
*Right now we know that a red PSE increases spawn rate, yellow increases Meseta drops and green is theoretically exp increase.

Is it normal to encounter a Rock Bear as an Emergency Code: Attack?
Woo, I finally got past the patching after a few hours and log into the game, Ship 2 to play with a friend of mine
I get an error every time I try to log in, 'No. 602' or something like that. I take it the ship's full.

Herpaderp, Sega changed my account name to lowercase, so I had to type it that way and viola. Episode Zero's annoying, a tutorial can be good and all but it's not fun not understanding it - and there's so many damn cutscenes. But interesting so far, as a CAST Ranger.
