So I don't play CS:GO very often (That's because I'm bad at this game) and after I think 10 months I decided to give it a go again. This time I watched some tutorials on how to play better, saw some WarOwl videos, asked friends who play this game regularly for tips, played a bunch of deathmatch games so i get to know the guns better (and so on) before jumping into my first competetive match. It ended really well... it ranked me as a silver elite... not what I hoped for but i know there is much room for improvement. After that I won most of my matches, I was always at the top of the scoreboard and misplays from my side become rarer. Then this happened: I ended up with a team were 2 of them always killed each other (and sometimes us as well) and even after kicking them we lost the game. I ended up deranking to Silver 4. I don't understand this game.

But yeah, I'll agree on the part where WarOwl's videos aren't particularly good. Adren had some solid ones as well, they were basic but that's exactly what's needed.

warowl is okay if you've never played an fps before but even then he's just really annoying

Then, as it was around 13-15 for the enemy team, one of the guys said that he needed the win, blah blah blah, mah rank. Not sure why, but that statememt really pissed me off, so I went full tryhard mode and we ended up tying 15-15.

Wow, lost 2 games and went from DMG to MG2.

I don't understand this game.[/QUOTE] Its tough being a silver, honestly. when i begun CSGO i also started out at silver elite master, then deranked to SILVER 3(!!!). Its because teammates are HORRIBLE at that level, and you just feel like you would do better if you didnt have any teammates at all because they sell you out ALL. THE. TIME. But you'll get up and out of silvers as soon as you learn to listen to footsteps and learn to think about what your enemy might be doing, even though thats really hard at silver level because your enemies are completely unpredictable and random. Just keep in mind where enemies have been spotted, like for example if theres 3 people spotted on A and you think one might be mid, go B, and try to engage enemies in a way that you only engage 1 player at a time. You get silvers doing some balls-out crazy shit that is guaranteed not to work but just because no opponent would ever think you'd do it you'll actually come off better than if you'd just played the smart move they're expecting you to.

Forgot how nice the static default csgo crosshair is when you make the gap really small, just wish it had more colour options other than green (actually white), blue, light blue and yellow.
