Helmet literally means the difference between life and death when you're playing as terrorist, I have zero understanding for people that cheap out on it. The entire economy system of CS basically screams "Buy a helmet bro we made all the guns on your side cheaper so you can buy it, and gimped all the ct guns to double dingers so that you're gonna want it"

All the pistols in the game and you pick deagle as an example of a gun you need to buy head armor against.

Rather survive a wallbang from the thing than to get obliterated through a door but your point stands, bad example but it has helped in situations to buy head armour even against a deagle rush, survived dinks from it in the past.
The R8 is another story, fuck that thing.
I didn't have anyone to play with yesterday, so I soloqueued into a game on Train. When it was 3-4, me and some guy were sitting by Ivy (we were on T side) and the CTs smoked it. I was waiting by the smoke when my teammate (I thought it was the opponent who smoked, found out later when watching demo that the teammate smoked it) tried to smoke the right side and failed. I pushed through the first smoke and went towards the little corner in the right. I was able to see through part of the smoke, then my teammate pushed. He gets shot by the AWP hiding behind the smoke (from my perspective) and proceeds to give me shit about how I saw the AWP and should've shot. Later on, when I watched the demo, I noticed that there was no way I could've seen him. What the fuck is with some people, did he just need an excuse to blame me for his death?
Another round, (this was mostly my fuckup), we pushed A from Main and Ivy and got into site. Then I heard a sound, thought it sounded like the stepping sound from Ivy area, so I turned around and I got shot from site. The same guy then starts giving me shit for another round about how I'm deaf, I play without sound, and I need to [I]buy headsets.[/I]

Fair enough. My fondest memories are of winning full glock ecos because we get entries on people without head armor and get access to guns. Every now and then you'll even see people with MP7 + body armor on second round because they have it in their heads that you just don't need head armor on CT side. MM is a strange place.

Hitting the ak headshot onto someone jump peeking b apps on Mirage is great fun, and the salt from doing it repeatedly is even better.

I recently turned on loudness equalization in Windows and oh my god, I can hear everything.
Only downsides IMO is the loss of distance judgement so you're limited to calling left/right, and the smoke psssshhhhh sound being uncomfortably pronounced no matter how far away it is :v:
On the upside you can basically hear everything, and without ruining your ears in the process.

Either make very large mouse movements or do a few quickly after each other.
I read somewhere that pro's care about precision more than being able to do 180's, since most of the times it would be too late to do a 180 anyway.

Has anyone else noticed some kind of reverse smurfing attititude on EU MM?
Still waiting for my 10 victories to get ranked, and, for the third time I played with/against people, that are either alone or by group, that are obviously good ( like, 20k 2d in round 5 ) and after the first few rounds, they go in full troll mode ( bison and knife, staying at spawn with the bomb... ) and do their best to deliberately loose the match, while being completely open about it in the chat ( they want to stay in low levels ). It's really fucking annoying.
Lol, i needed 6 losses in a row to derank from LEM to LE. should be easy to get back anyway.
