Probably has something to do with the fact that you can still queue as rank 1 after getting the medal Maybe valve made it that you need to reach rank 3 only once instead of having rank resets after every service medal just be a higher tier of ranks
Guy doesn't have a service medal though, its like a legit fresh account.
Guy doesn't have a service medal though, its like a legit fresh account.
I meant the system being "reach rank 3 at least once and you get access to MM" with or without service medal. Meaning you can still play after reaching rank 3 once and then resetting by either doing service medal or just losing XP. Don't know for sure, just speculating
Guy doesn't have a service medal though, its like a legit fresh account.
Couldn't he have deleted the service medal from his inventory though?
Couldn't he have deleted the service medal from his inventory though?
You can only delete crates in csgo.
I used to make fun of people who complained so much about hackers in MM but I'm eating my own words. How the hell are you supposed to get global when you get near it just to be queued against an obvious waller/aimer? A waller that has been cheating since October but still hasn't been banned... Just makes me give up on MM entirely, but I really need global back cause it helps boost your stream numbers. Thanks for VACstatus existing by the way. My list is growing.

Well I did good, almost.
soooo this just happened [t]http://i.imgur.com/A7A7tE3.jpg[/t] lost 16-1 my teammates decided on round 3 that the team was shit, called gg wp despite them only having like 1 kill each etc. standard matchmaking shit, especially late at night. tried telling them that it's normal to go 3-0 after losing the pistol and they just started calling the other team hackers. then mysteriously 3 of them got disconnected all at the same time, the remaining guy on my team was screaming down his mic in some random language at me and kept typing HAHA NICE VAC HACKERS so i kicked him to keep my blood pressure down. 2 guys reconnected eventually and claimed they were ddosed by the other team. watched the demo back and nothing actually looks fishy on the other team, no tracking through walls or obvious aim locking or anything. watch here if anyone cares enough to give a verdict as to whether or not they're hacking i really need to buy ESEA or something cause faceit is fairly shit imo and matchmaking is even worse, you get punished nearly every game for not having a 5 man because there's so many awful players (either skill wise or attitude wise)
just had basically the same experience, decided to soloqueue at 2 am because i hate myself all callouts are in russian, my team rushes everything and dies instantly and then tries to kick me for not being able to clutch 1v5 every round
solo queue is really a bad idea unless you understand that the worst case scenario can literally happen in seconds then again i just lost 2 games that i almost came back from and i haven't been playing exceptionally well myself just come back another day
the annoying thing is (staying up to run a mate to the airport in a few hours) i played another game and had teammates that cooperated decently, didn't shout at eachother too much and the other team was pretty good so we had a 15-15 game that was quite fun sometimes you get a nice experience like that and sometimes you just waste 40 minutes of your life due to idiots
I honestly have no idea how people do anything except soloq. Like, how would you even coordinate that.
I honestly have no idea how people do anything except soloq. Like, how would you even coordinate that.
there's ways to find groups of people, csgoteamfinder.com and the /r/recruitcs subreddit. another thing I used to do was send a friend request to whoever I came across when solo queuing that was good and then mass invite people before queuing, helps to know that you might have some decent players on your team personally I started playing with real life friends, then joined up with their friends, and their friends friends so most nights I can find a group of 5 people that I know fairly well and that makes things more enjoyable csgoteamfinder is pretty good higher up the ranks when trying to find a dedicated squad, there's a lot of teams on there that look for people to play with at specific times and attend LANs with and shit
I wish I had irl friends that played cs but then again maybe it's a good thing I don't
I would be queuing with my friend but I hadn't played competitive since they first implemented the ranking system; It was too much of a grind to slog through. After finally doing that I had to do placement matches before I could play with my friend. And then I got placed in silver 3 for whatever reason (was nova 4 previously) and I can't play with my friend who got ranked at nova 4 himself. Now we're too much of a difference in rank and can't play together. So I'm stuck solo queuing for the foreseeable future. Really though, what does it take to rank up even once these days?
Honestly playing mm with mates I know has ended more poorly than just solo queuing. Usually it's because we're lanning after a few drinks and I convince them we're all still good to play a round and we get absolutely curb stomped. Won't pretend it's not my fault, but it's a significant chunk of my night wasted and it always kills my buzz.
Honestly as long as you have fun, it isn't a waste of time, it is just a game, enjoy it
I've never in my life had fun playing CS. It's never been about that.
maybe rethink playing cs
Honestly as long as you have fun, it isn't a waste of time, it is just a game, enjoy it
but 98% of the enjoyment of playing a competitive game is having an enjoyable and actually competitive experience, i'm a sore loser and get a bit salty for a few mins after we lose a game but if it was a close and hard fought loss i realise shortly after that i did actually enjoy it because of the competition if you're placed with mongs in matchmaking and put against hackers, that competitive part is taken away and obviously it's no longer going to be fun
I have fun playing arms race and competitive. My luck sucks so bad in other game modes but for some reason I'm pretty good at arms race. With comp I still have bad luck but playing with friends and / or good team mates makes it an engaging experience and I enjoy the challenge.
I mostly avoid comp for a couple reasons. Reason 1 being that I currently don't have a mic and reason 2 being that I always feel like I will underperform.
I mostly avoid comp for a couple reasons. Plus if the day you play happens to be a day where you underperform for whatever reason (lets be honest, everyone has an off day now and again,) your teammates more often than not verbally bitch slap you the entire match. Casual is just so much more enjoyable for that fact. Even better, if people mic spam it's a perfect opportunity to mute everyone and listen to music while you play. I personally played 10 wins just to get my rank and never played comp again.

Neat, wonder if this will become a more common thing with players actually making their own orgs

I never get mad at someone for not clutching or missing some easy shots and i will still drop, if they get depressed for not preforming i usually give them an autoshotgun and tell them to have fun :v: I wish ranks were hidden away because people tend to get to obsessed about them and will do everything to keep their rank or rank up if possible. I was global before thos easy rank shenanigans and i'm lem now because i don't play that mutch anymore. And if i play i usually play esea anyways. Just some back story.
I was master guardian II last year. Stopped playing for an entire year, come back and play 1 match and I'm silver something something. I aint having it Valve I AINT! LET'S CLIIIIMB!
