It doesn't account for any loss of 'elo' from the losses or rank decay. It describes general trends not every individual case.

God I love NA DMG MM. First two rounds, guy on other team gets back to back aces, one on our team instantly abandons after screaming cheater, other guy on team now proceeding to do the same and begging us to abandon, we continue playing because fuck it, we playing for fun here now. Continues bitching to around round 7 then disconnects, doesn't abandon, was still begging us to surrender up till this time. Guy who got the double aces and was "cheating" actually got shat on pretty hard for the next few rounds, guy who DC'd still not abandoned, time goes on, abandon counter ticking away, hits the last minute then goes. qUAL abandoned the match and received a 7 day competitive matchmaking cooldown. Played a game with two people throwing the game to derank. They were the luckiest bastards too. One was top of the scoreboard because the got zeus kills around corners and smoking himself on the site. And then proceeded to mock us and call us "terrible silvers" because of it. Teamed up with the other two and then absolutely destroyed the following game. But boy did that get under my skin though. finally got back to mg1, team mate stabbed me at the start of the round and i followed him around with a revolver clicking it and then accidentally shot him when i was trying to shoot an enemy. was worth the derank
