Question about matchmaking in this game. I'm rank 2 and it's dreadful playing casual. All of my matches have high ranking players who wipe everyone who isn't on their level off the map, which makes me worry about how they handle actual matchmaking. Will I be experiencing these type of matchups in actual matchmaking?

You'll be matched with people of your skill group, once you've gotten a rank. Profile level means nothing about overall "skill" and is more an indication of time played. Once you start competitive, you'll have no rank. After 10 wins, you're assigned a rank. This could be at profile level 50, it could be at level 5, depending on just how long that takes you, and how much of the other game modes you play outside of it. Actual matchmaking is usually more bearable than casual matchmaking, for a number of reasons.

Okay, where the fuck are the voice input and output options? I digged through the entire Options section and nothing. Like, literally just had a match with some Russian fucks who wouldn't shut the fuck up for a damn second to the point where I barely could even hear an enemy blasting from AWP right beside my right ear. Seriously, holy fuck, I have a splitting headache from this.

This is why I stopped being a VP fan.

I've doubled my vacstat list in the past two weeks, so many games where a guy or two are either blatant or extremely shady.

Does anyone else have the problem after the rank changes that, when you solo queue everyone is actually braindamaged and bad, while before it felt like my teammates and enemies were of even skill. I was supreme before, now LE.

Spent an entire game raging at my 4 players that were clearly on skype together not giving me any info until I got to the final round and this player asks me if I have sound. "Wait a fucking second here-" Realise they've been chatting all game and I haven't been listening because I have voice off like a dunce. Drew the match, 15/15 and didn't have the heart to admit where I'd gone wrong to them.

Continuing with the matchmaking rank shenanigans, I just ranked up to Nova 3 and then lost a pretty close game, deranked instantly back to Nova 2. :what:
