Counter Strike: Global Offensive v7: Creeps from the weeb team represent

It seems like valve just wishes Community Server operators would just stop everything.
What's the point of bo2's?
It's really boring to bet on. Turns into a 1-1 always

What a dick move
I can understand why they'd want to prevent people using skins/coins with actual value, but that is just stupid.
The thing that really makes me angry is that they can get their 'PR'-team to write this shit but can't be bothered to tell us anything about any future updates/what we can expect. Fuck off Valve, stop bullying your players and actually release some fucking content.
I feel like valve know exactly what problems the general community has with CSGO and work actively to change everything else about the game
I don't see the problem with banning the custom item servers, it's just the plugin where you can do !ws and change how your weapons look. Who cares. + servers with that plugin seem to be full of players that are just trying to switch their skins instead of playing properly.

Too bad it applies to servers with custom player-models as well.

Teams were having trouble with scheduling in some leagues. Bo2s did a lot to help that. If it's always a 1-1 then bet on it to end 1-1.
how many of you even actively play on servers with custom models? the !ws thing might be fun to dick about once but it really isn't a big deal, as far as i know zombie servers are complete shit (they can't be that good otherwise i would've played one by now) and so that isn't really a big deal either
people just nitpicking that "valve want more money" cause they're mad that they haven't got a new operation. a new operation that costs them money and is literally only a money making scheme for valve. and valve almost definitely won't get any more money by banning custom models, how many kids are going to go and buy a karambit tiger tooth just cause they could use it on their fave 1v1 server with the !ws plugin?

i'm not advocating the removal of the ability to use custom models. as far as i can tell there's no reason to not let you use them. but at the same time it isn't a huge issue for the majority of the playerbase so i'm not really seeing why people are getting so worked up about it.
[editline]29th January 2016[/editline]
the only problem i'm seeing thats come from this is that some server owners have been banned from making new server tokens without notice, and i'm sure that those will be reverted because otherwise there'd be massive community uproar
I'm mad because it effectively bans plugins that let you toggle your knife on/off for surfing.
Also rather than trying to find reasons we shouldn't want them, find reasons why we can't have them. Last I checked there isnt a single reason for them not to exist.

there's a new server cvar that enables/disables dropping of knives for surfing and for trading servers to allow people to inspect other peoples knives. at least that shows that they actually thought of the implications of banning certain plugins?
As long as they don't make sv_pure 1 mandatory for hosting a server in CSGO everybody should stop crying.
In the meantime all the server affected by this should set sv_pure to 0 and let whoever has half a functioning brain mod at their own discretion. Maybe then custom servers would see a surge in users because everybody doesn't have to download 200mb of harddisc fluff at a snails pace just to join a server that looks fun.
Why do playermodel T-poses travel flat when they have no weapons equipped? Is it just a bot thing? I've only gotten to play against bots with those kinds of settings, and they go flat unless 1) you look at them or 2) you're super close in proximity
Because the animation isn't rendered/executed on models you can't see.
I know this cause I was testing a map with an old NAV mesh and could deduct it from the shadow of the lone bot running back and forth behind me. If I could see him, his shadow would be animated as he ran back and forth, if I couldn't, his shadow would glide past the wall instead of run.
so the default origin of the player skeleton must be a laying down t-pose as per csgo origins.

Valve dev on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/4378gz/valve_clarifies_that_custom_weapons_arent_allowed/czgqsxk

So, does this basically prevent zombie mod servers entirely? O.o
There hasn't been any change in the stated policy, though admittedly the clarification in that post made it seem that way (so we'll update that sentence).
Innovation is awesome and almost every mod we see is fine. Our only concern, as the community correctly understands, is with mods that specifically misrepresent a player's skill group/rank or the items they own.
That only adds more confusion with all these servers being blacklisted
Valve is amazingly bad at communicating with the community, especially in CSGO and TF2 seemingly. Cant talk for Dota tho.
new cs go dupe method
person 1 buys a steam gift
person 2 trades high valued knife to person 1 for the said gift
person 2 keeps the gift and do not trades it or uses it
person 1 sells the knife or moves it through stealth steam accounts
person 1 chargebacks
person 2 loses gift and opens ticket on steam support to get his item back
there are now 2 items in circulation.
