Elo (also not an acronym) is a system used in chess and in games like LoL (they might have changed it since). It rates you according to other players based on your performances and what the system expects of you. Just look up Elo on wikipedia.

That is the core of rating systems in pretty much every game

Since I got my new computer repaired in June, I'd been wondering why I was finding it so hard to get back into the game. I was really struggling to get headshots on moving targets but my spray was good enough to keep me at DMG/LE ranks. 4 months later I realised I never changed my sensitivity from 6 whereas I used to play on 1.2. I've now gone down to 3 and I've already noticed how much easier it is to get head shots. 4 months of playing with a too high sensitivity and not noticing. 4 months.

So because of my university commitments I really havent been playing anywhere near as much cs as i'd like in order to keep myself at a constant skill level. Came on for a game after working 10 hours solid on web shit and I find my hands shaking from adrenaline during tense points in the game, something that I used to get when I was nova 2. I even flung my mouse across the desk after getting spooked by someone dinking me from behind :v: Played like shit because of it and nearing the end of the game im like "sorry for playing like shit, been out of the game for a while gents" Look at the scoreboard and im still #1. Did something happen in the aus/global matchmaking recently to cause LE's to play like gold nova's because despite having been out of it for so long and playing like complete shit I still seem to be doing better than the majority of people at this level.
