I don't understand why people even complain about the SG recoil pattern anymore, the AK goes pretty crazy diagonally after a few shots as well, just not as much. Personally I didn't find it too hard to learn to compensate for all 30 bullets of the SG scoped. If you just scope it in while spraying the pattern is tight enough that you don't have to be entirely perfect anyways.

When you go into comp you're playing an entire different style. You should be peaking corners, holding angles, walking instead of running, etc. I'd also say your troubles sound like crosshair placement issues, but I don't know what your gameplay looks like so it's tough to say.
