I can't see any pressing reason to remove DII right now though. It's overplayed in casual and dm but there's kinda a reason for that: it is a really well designed map. Until they've reworked all the more flawed maps, i.e. inferno I can't see a reason to fiddle with it.

I don't follow the pro scene much, so I'd say it's pointless to rework Dust 2 since it's perfectly fine, the only problem is that people play it far too much, but still not something about the map itself.

I don't know. I feel like Dust2 has been distilled to really only a handful of viable strategies in competitive play. That might be part of its allure, to allow system players to excel at their craft, but I'm undecided. I think parts of the map could be spruced up since mid and A long are practically the same thing - long, open hallways with virtually no cover. I'm not going to say it takes no skill to play D2, but it is decidedly easier to play than most other maps.

de_dust2 needs to be more open as well for grenades. They did that with short A to long but there are still a lot of invisible walls that when removed, could open up for some cool smoke tactics

I'm not a fan of D2 but at least i can be sure that [I]in general [/I]it'll be a close-ish fight.

Richard lewis regarding this recent situation is a dumbfuck and deserves it but regardless of thorin being a dickhead he is still the most knowledgeable person in the cs community. Every other analyst and host desk in the scene is shockingly dull with a few exceptions, and I garuntee 90% of the people that call the current analyst setups "cringe" will just mute the stream when games aren't on now because every other host and analyst is boring as fuck and overly focused on not hurting anyone's feeling and creating a "family show" enviornment

You can say objetive facts and give your opinion on their performance, that's fine, but personal commentary and "le epik bantz" shouldn't happen to people that haven't specifically allowed him to do that. And that's not his job.

Thorin is brilliant as an analyst but shit at understanding what he can and can't say, and he really needs to either filter himself, or, if that isn't possible, have a pr person/director to do that for him.
