i saw those stats on reddit the other day, 1 mil unique players in december 2013 these ranks weren't made to handle the 9 mil unique players of december 2015 we need more ranks past global, cause at the moment LEM, SMFC and Global are complete shit fests thjat are populated with players that are there simply because they've played 1000+ matches you literally can't deny that playing MM at the last 3 ranks is complete lucky dip, sometimes you'll get someone that actually deserves their rank, sometimes you'll get people that completely outperform it and sometimes you'll get some brain dead mongoloid that buys a bizon and no armour every round

Ranks are relative to other people, they are not an absolute. Being a ge just means you have a better average performance than many other people playing. It does not mean you are very good at cs. It all depends on the player base. Nonetheless, it's still cool to be able to claim you are better than 99% of people playing csgo.
