Ok so I'm not crazy in thinking the Revolver isn't OP right? I mean the charge time basically makes it so that sure it's too good against shit players but at high level play it'd be faster to just use a less powerful weapon that you can shoot faster. It reminds me of the smart pistol from Titanfall in that sense.

I've been playing CS for about three days and I suck donkey dick at it but even I can go fuckin' nuts with this revolver. Who thought an $850 handheld semi-automatic AWP was a good idea? One hit kill weapons should only exist in three places: extreme close range (shotguns), extreme long range (sniper rifles), skilled aiming (headshots). Shotguns and sniper rifles are balanced around their lack of versatility making them disadvantaged outside of their respective ranges. Headshots are balanced around simple player skill. A one-hit bodyshot kill pistol with laser accuracy for mid-long range and full semi-auto fire for close range is an awful idea all around. Like, the revolver is fun to use and I'm glad the game has a revolver now because revolvers are rad, but this thing needs to be seriously rebalanced.

You don't even need to aim for the head when a chest shot does the job much more reliably. That's what makes it insanely OP.
So I've thought it over, why don't Valve work out the average aim and kill time and then make the revolver windup slightly higher than that. That's how it worked in Titanfall, if you use the smart pistol and you can't aim for shit then you're sorted, but if you can aim then you're better off using a gun that you can fire without locking no. I guess increase the drop off and decrease the penetration while they're at it.

I find it so weird that despite being one of the most popular games, with millions of players, with what you'd think was a well funded dev team, they basically act like the team for a mod. Just pants on head retarded stuff that simply doesn't make sense. Why? Then they give absolutely zero community engagement cause that's the professional thing to do apparently. And now this dumb broken gun gets to ruin my CS for the next handful of days. I'm pretty salty. I don't understand how these devs are seemingly so incompetent. I just want to come home after a long day and play some CS, now I can't. Yeah I know I'm being dramatic. Why does the player base have to be the test dummies for the dumbest fucking ideas, the devs could've emailed a random person above MGE and asked them and they would've said its a dumb addition.
up next is a one shot kill repeater carbine with shotgun alt fire imo the revolver just needs to have the accuracy dropped and have extreme range damage falloff so it can't be a cheap awp. on top of that i think the alt fire should have an accuracy of, say, 30% and the primary fire should take one click to fire and another click to recock the hammer. that way people will be more prone to fucking up loading their pistol instead of just being able to instantly mag dump it no problem valve need to look at fistful of frags for inspiration since they did revolvers perfectly
Why do you all say it's 1hit gun? none of the shots I've made and got were 1hit except for those really close ones like 2meters or something. it's not an autosniper either, at least be happy they didn't gave it as much ammo as the tec9 had before the nerf

Changing the windup time won't fix that, it needs to get other stats nerfed into the ground. Someone needs to take this video and make it into an "Interview with a CS:GO developer".
