Counter-Strike: Global Offensive update for 12/9/15 (12/10/15 UTC, 1.35.1.3): Via the CS:GO blog:
[MISC] – Fixed exploits with the R8 Revolver, including being able to fire during freezetime or defusal, and the ability to hold the primary hammer back indefinitely. – Fixed a disappearing smoke exploit. – Fixed a timeouts-related exploit. – Fixed competitive UI flickering at the end of rounds. – Fixed a regression in logaddress_add to allow DNS hostname resolve. – Fixed a rare game server crash after replay. – R8 Revolver now correctly shows up in weapon_fire events. – Added map mode to game stats integration.
Rumor has it: - Some miscellaneous items_game stuff: https://github.com/SteamDatabase/GameTracking/commit/711943f7602b4f125e45deafa9d753bc3a2c30e3 - And some other deep stuff: https://github.com/SteamDatabase/GameTracking/commit/05fa411e2622ffc1b1006a42c85d889ddbc83a32 - Size is ~10 MB ------------------------ Warning! If you are on a Mac and you're still using Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6), be advised that Steam client support was killed off for Snow Leopard effective November 10th. Mac OS X Lion (10.7) or newer is now required to acquire future Steam client updates, but if you're stuck on Snow Leopard for whatever reason, you should be fine for a while and you should still be able to play CS:GO still, just that you won't get updates for your Steam client. However, a future CS:GO update could move the minimum Steam client version up to one past this date. If possible, make arrangements to move to at least Lion or Mountain Lion, preferably Mavericks or El Capitan, otherwise, you may be left behind if and possibly when a future CS:GO update moves the minimum version up past the November 10th update. This warning will be repeated for the next 2 posts.
Thank lord for that. It doesn't fix the glaring issues, but I don't actually mind not changing the balance quickly THAT much (R8 still needs to be driven into the fucking ground though).
fix some exploits but no nerfs loool ok [editline]9th December 2015[/editline] csgo is ruined for now
Thoorin is more then pissed. Holy actual fucking shit.
That was therapeutic to watch.
I lost a match from that smoke exploit right before they patched it out gg
the ability to hold the primary hammer back indefinitely.
Well it was fun while it lasted
Fucking derankers in MM ruin my fun :dead:
So that latest patch proves that they did absolutely NO testing of the gun. Amazing.
I just tried playing the new patch for the first time. GG game is ruined. Can't shoot m4 or ak for shit anymore, shit spray pattern. Everyone goes with pocket awp and zero tactics anymore. Da fuck.
Well it was fun while it lasted
The revolver is still fun.
So that latest patch proves that they did absolutely NO testing of the gun. Amazing.
When they added the R8 you could shoot while defusing. Why arent I being paid to be a beta tester?
If you ever played TFC then getting kills with this revolver is hilariously cake
okay wtf is with the round and bomb time changes
fuck valve
the incompetence really shows with this update previously it was excusable in some way or another, but this is a whole other level
If you ever played TFC then getting kills with this revolver is hilariously cake
This thing still isn't as obnoxious as the TFC sniper rifle.
The thing I don't understand is that over the past year they've nerfed the AWP several times, but then they go and create a pistol that's essentially an AWP for the low low price of $850. Do Valve actually play their game? I'm legitimately curious.
we all know they are gonna nerf it in like 2 weeks, and nobody will notice the other shit changes one-tapping is actually better though
It's less to do with it being better and more to do with it simply being the better option now, which is good I suppose but it could be better. You're right though, they will probably nerf it soon enough but it shouldn't have been this large of a problem to begin with. I can understand new additions not being completely balanced on day one but holy shit this was a disaster.
I dont even want to touch competitive anymore with the r8 around. Im just going to wait a month. If it isnt nerfed, well, fuck, i dont know if i should just sell my skins then.
– Fixed a disappearing smoke exploit.
Explains how me and my Team all died even with the smokes blocking paths. And here I thought they are hacking.
Alright. Played like 30 seconds with this thing. I'm covering old ground but this thing is retardedly good. I'm not even sure it's worth purchasing a primary weapon except maybe as a backup incase you run through your ammo.
Ugh, this new bomb time is shitttt. I lost 3 comp games because of it.

Why spend 4k when you can spend 850 for a pocket rocket.
http://oddshot.tv/shot/steel-tv-20151210707608 SAFE SPACE HAS BEEN DISTURBED
What was he reacting to?
What was he reacting to?
The awful rifle nerfs. He fired a single shot and you can see the bullet hit above his crosshair from an incredibly short distance
This thing is so stupid... look what I managed to do with no effort whatsoever. I remember back in the day the deagle from cs 1.6 was accurate and powerful and you could easily turn around an eco round if your team had some skills, but the r8 is just like a railgun from UT.
Saw a youtube comment that basically said that the r8 is god now because Valve wants to make the skins profitable before they nerf it It is a sad day in the industry where I actually think that's the case Also fuck the rifle nerf so hard, why did they have to fucking nerf rifles
Saw a youtube comment that basically said that the r8 is god now because Valve wants to make the skins profitable before they nerf it It is a sad day in the industry where I actually think that's the case
That is exactly what they're doing.
