Blockland Megathread - Finally greenlit - Games

Hnnnng RTB, all the nostalgia. I was just a 12 year old kid who went by the name of Slayer when I last played.

I would say it has improved a lot compared to five years ago. Also, check out Marble Man's stuff. He poops out useful stuff every day.

The guns don't feel boring to shoot and are customizable via server settings. Chrisbot6 made a functioning train mod, which can create roller coasters and rides of the such. Mafia Madness is also a great example of a gamemode (though private) which shows off a lot of things you wouldn't find in the old Blockland. Specific items carrying information, bodies (and becoming unconscious), blood which applies to walls and quite a few more fancy gadgets. These are only a few examples

These are only a few examples[/QUOTE] Well I feel uneducated now, since my experience with mods is almost nil, and I started playing, and left, before modding went beyond guns and player types. If FP wants a server, it would be helpful to get a list of useful and fun addons that people would like to have, and a little idea what kind of server people want.

The feeling you get when playing is very similar to the feeling of old school garry's mod because of how stagnant the community has been in terms of large-scale innovations. It wouldn't take much to jump start the game especially with it now out on Steam.

I had always wanted to buy it when it went retail, never did though. Edit: Woah my old Blockland forum account still exists. Apparently I registered in 2006 or even earlier. Damn my English sucked.

The "Eventing" system in blockland is fucking genius. It's literally like scripting except it makes sense to everybody. If all scripting for everything was like this, I'd make so much content for almost everything

Thank fuck. I don't see why Lego just doesn't set out to make another creator game instead of all these Lego themed licensed games.

I was gifted this and I love building games, and Blockland seems like an awesome game, but I'm having trouble getting into it.

The fact that there's never a freebuild and all people want to do is just play Family RP. If there was another Badspot's Block Party, where a shitload of people join and build good stuff, that would be awesome.

Where you need to host a server and clients connect and they download whatever mods are on the server? I'm a bit confused, because what interests me the most is building something for other people to explore.

I don't think you're looking hard enough if you can only find family roleplays.

Did anyone know that you can still buy IDs in the 2000 - 3000 range?

pecon7 also hosts a Boss Battle server which is like Saxton Hale from TF2, except arguably better.
