my favourite part of knife of dunwall is
"I just wanted to congratulate you on finally getting your own squad"
blow off, choffer
Do you think you'll get your own squad after what happened last night?
"Shall we gather for whiskey & cigars tonight?"
How's the guard dialog in Dishonored 2?
a lot more varied imo
The heart is awesome as well, loads of little stories. There's a lot of care put into this game
[editline]13th November 2016[/editline]
I think the first guard line I heard was something along the lines of "HNNNGG I REALLY NEED TO PISS"
The guard dialogue is a lot better in 2. I especially like how they're not monotone during combat anymore.
How do you kick in this? I know Corvo has the blink assault but that seems different to what's shown in a few of the trailers. I figured it'd be a slide attack thing but I can't pull it off and I want to punt people off buildings without choking them out first.
I thought it had something to do with power attacking enemies standing near ledges(since I managed to do it to the same [sp]witch[/sp] twice in a row), but I guess it just kinda happens when it wants to.
I've had it trigger in a way where I kicked an enemy over a table too.
Before I continue forward, should I go back and beat the DLC for the first game

If I got the main story bits of Dishonored 2 straight, The Knife of Dunwall and the Brig[something] Witches DLCs are the main basis of the plot
I'm holding off on buying the game until the performance issues are solved.
Glad to hear the gameplay itself is good.
I redboxed it and dusted off my PS4 and it was a terrible idea, super low FoV, 30fps lock and blurry visuals. Why did I do this to my self
[sp]I just activated the sabotaged Oraculum and it added 1 to my kill counter. As far as I can tell, activating the Oraculum knocks out every witch on the map, which leads me to believe that one of the witches is knocked off of something high and falls to her death. If that fucks up my no-kill run that's super lame.[/sp] Anyone have this problem/know a workaround?

[sp]Knock all the witches out beforehand and make sure nobody is near a ledge[/sp]
If you want a job done right and all that.
So for my first playthrough I chose Emily + No powers, aand I'm doing clean hands ghost playthrough on hard, so see you guys next year when I finaly beat the second mission :v: ... So far I love the game, especialy level design

[sp]I tried that, and it still killed one of them. I investigated the Conservatory after activating the Oraculum and it turns out that it didn't knock out a witch that was still alive, it had killed a witch that was already unconscious. I reloaded a save, moved the witch's body, thinking it was some sort of geometry collision error that killed her, activated the Oraculum again, and not only did it still kill the unconscious witch, it killed a second NPC somewhere in the map as well.[/sp] This is officially super lame.
Good god, the new release runs like shit. Waiting for a patch before I continue. Lowest settings as possible, same fps.

Just been testing this out, it seems contextual which kinda sucks. A kick could be a neat alternative to a power attack if you're going for a guard-break attack. That said, I kicked someone through a window and their head got stuck in a wastepaper bin so I can't complain too hard.
Why the fuck does this game not have NG+ or the ability to replay missions?
You get your Masterwork Sword and Boot Stealth Blueprints on the last level of the game. What's even the frigging point?
does it...still count as a kill if i slit the air's throat?

I just finished mission 8 [sp]so where was the Duke's double? I reloaded a save and consulted a guide and it said that he was supposed to be in his room when the real Duke was in the vault, but when I went back to the room, it was still him and had to kill him to finish the mission. Should I have tried to get Delilah's spirit first or was the double just roaming around someplace?[/sp]
Think they need to fix the audio alongside all the other stuff. Sometimes if three or even only two people are speaking at once, they clash horribly despite being several meters away
It's frustrating when I'm on the third floor of a building listening to a quiet conversation and suddenly it clashes with the guy outside who's preaching to a crown (you know where I mean). Just reduce the distance you can hear voices and it'd be swell. It's a weird trend the last couple of years, the graphics get much better yet the positional audio in games gets much worse

[sp]He was wandering around another room for me; the real Duke was in his room. I suppose it's random.[/sp]
Maybe. [sp]I checked out a walkthrough video and the double was in the office while the real duke was in his room. Either he never spawned, wanders randomly or I just missed something that would have triggered him. It would make sense if it was randomized since I guess some of the safe combinations have been randomized[/sp]
I feel like I'm losing my mind or something, but enemy sight-lines (As well as spotlights and the such) seem super, super fucked in D2. Like, I'm behind something, in the far, FAR peripherals of someone and they immediately notice me. Or I'm swimming in dark water and people notice me immediately.
Like, everyone degraded to fucking far cry 3 levels of awareness.

Are they attacking you or is it just a lightning bolt and then nothing?
anyone with a 960 happen to know if that one fix on the steam forums made things playable? I'd really like to get this game, I need something to get my mind off finals and shit
Are they attacking you or is it just a lightning bolt and then nothing?
Actual attacking in alert phase. Like, I'm over 15 feet away, behind something and peeking, but like, even if they're slightly turned towards me and I'm not even making a sound, I'm being full spotted.

Having just replayed Dishonored 1, this happens a shitload in there too. It's super weird how they seem to do AI.
Sometimes guards can't see me 5 feet away, other times they see me from a distant window 15 kms away while I'm underwater
