I'm dreading [sp]the clockwork mansion and Silton's mansion[/sp]
Am I the only one that thought the clockwork [sp] soldiers were underpowered as hell? I suppose from a realism and lore standpoint it makes sense but I kind of expected nigh unstoppable killing machines and what I got was this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gh1cpcyiV7g[/sp]
I'm more worried about doing a ghost run and avoiding them.
What's this about [sp]Billie losing her arm? Is this a D2 thing?[/sp]

Yes. [sp]Billie Lurk is essentially the Samuel character, except she goes around using the alias of Meagan Foster because she still feels guilty about the assassination of Jessamine.[/sp] Spoils the character a little bit, but if you played the DLC it's kind of obvious.
Pfffahahaha. [sp]So if you assassinate Jindosh and throw his dead body in front of a Clockwork Soldier, it will exclaim "This is rather amusing to record... This playback is for when the machine detects my own dead body."[/sp]
So, when Bethesda announced that they were going to put an embargo on future reviews for their games, so that people couldn't know about them in detail before release, the gaming press protested and lamented the death of freedom of press. Now that the reviews of Dishonored 2 are finally out, reviewers are gladly glossing over the current state of the game on PC, and, as it has been a tradition with every Bethesda launch ever, are claiming that such issues aren't worth of consideration because "they will be patched out for sure". Way to go.

In the room where you find the first lever you look up, break the window and pass through the skylight[/sp]
Someone hacked the game to give all powers to one character, and they used Doppelganger on Corvo [t]http://i.imgur.com/eFtiz44.jpg[/t] He look like a clown :wideeye:

Interesting how there's even a model for doppelganger for Corvo, though.
Interesting how there's even a model for doppelganger for Corvo, though.
Well, they had player models being used for the intro and promotional material and I assume doppelganger is coded to use the same model as the player rather than a specific model meant for doppelganger. Not really that surprising.
Jesus christ this game looks like ass compared to the original(medium settings). And runs like ass also. Funny how I can run ArmA 3 large player count mp with better fps than this shit. 23 fps in the first "combat scene".
why is arthur gies allowed to make reviews for any game still 8.5/10 for dishonored 2 because its "too hard" and has "bad voice acting"
Someone hacked the game to give all powers to one character, and they used Doppelganger on Corvo [t]http://i.imgur.com/eFtiz44.jpg[/t] He look like a clown :wideeye:
Oh god. I never really gave much thought to how Corvo looked in the mask beyond "fucking cool", but now I realise that I always envisioned an Isaac Clarke style helmet, where it clips on and little bits pop out and clamp on. Christ how don't people laugh at him in the street when we wears that?
He should've worn a hood with it again honestly, face masks like that only look good with hoods to me.
why is arthur gies allowed to make reviews for any game still 8.5/10 for dishonored 2 because its "too hard" and has "bad voice acting"
Isn't 8.5/10 like a pretty good score?
[sp]There's actually an achievement for getting rid of him without him knowing you were ever there. In the room where you find the first lever you look up, break the window and pass through the skylight[/sp]
Alternatively, [sp]when you pull the lever the first time, duck into the underlying architecture and wait. He'll come the intercom and realize there's no one in the foyer. He chalks it up to a machine malfunction and then leaves the mic. You can then use the lever underneath to be able to access the rest of the hidden architecture and he'll come up on the mic again saying he knew you were there the entire time (he didn't and still doesn't) and you can sneak through the building to get to him.[/sp]
why is arthur gies allowed to make reviews for any game still 8.5/10 for dishonored 2 because its "too hard" and has "bad voice acting"
If a game got 8.5 and I was already interested in it, I'd still be preordering.
As much as I love Dishonored 1 and how much fun Dishonored 2 looks, I decided to apply for a refund due to the performance issues. I have an EVGA GTX 1080 FTW. One the fastest GPU's out there. I meet and exceed the recommended specs in almost every way. I tried every trick that was posted, I run the game at the absolute lowest possible settings, and I'm still getting 40 fps in good moments, with about 20fps on average in the open area's with lots of NPC's. I'll be looking in a room and hit maybe 45, turn around to view the street and it plummets into the low 20's. My temperatures are normal, it's not stuttering so it's doubtful it's running out of (V)RAM. This, combined with the mouse movement issues at low FPS, make the game completely unplayable. I might re-buy the game in 6 months when it's been patched up and fixed, but I refuse to support it in this state. With my specs, this game should be running flawlessly at ultra, let alone lowest settings: i7-3800 32GB of DDR4 EVGA GTX 1080 FTW Installed on an SSD.

Game runs like garbage. Clearly the game wasn't ready for release.
He should've worn a hood with it again honestly, face masks like that only look good with hoods to me.
Canonically he does wear it with a hood. The doppelganger model just has him hoodless for some reason.
He should've worn a hood with it again honestly, face masks like that only look good with hoods to me.
I figure a hood in Karnaca would be a bad idea, you'd cook your head really quick with the heat. Maybe some sort of cap that somehow looks cool?
I figure a hood in Karnaca would be a bad idea, you'd cook your head really quick with the heat. Maybe some sort of cap that somehow looks cool?
A turban? Not sure why a hood wouldn't work TBH. People who live in the desert usually cover their skin a lot and it doesn't cook them, it does pretty much the opposite.
Isn't 8.5/10 like a pretty good score?
yeah but for those reasons? arthur gies fucking sucks at playing video games he also did the 30 minute doom 2016 gameplay that everyone laughed at
Corvo does look without the mask. I haven't played yet so I'm kinda wondering why he isn't hooded. Honestly Emily with only the mask seems like people would probably recognize her.
There's still wanted posters with Corvo's face plastered everywhere
Isn't 8.5/10 like a pretty good score?
That depends where you put an "ok" game at. Reviewers who use the ten point scale fluctuate anywhere from 5 to 8 for average games.
There's still wanted posters with Corvo's face plastered everywhere
They were really hard to take down. So the cities just left 'em up.
