I saved my game in such a way that whenever I load it, Emily tosses herself off of the watchtower I was perched upon before I even get the chance to take control. My view upon loading is her about to hit the ground. Either something happened to my save, or I'm playing so poorly that the game is trying to kill itself.
Beat the game yesterday. Now I'm gonna try a Corvo play through on very hard, stealth, no kills, no knock outs (except for story npcs), and no powers. RIP ME already on the asylum mission I'm so fucked.
The Masochist Run, god damn [editline]21st November 2016[/editline] Good luck during the clockwork mansion
The Masochist Run, god damn [editline]21st November 2016[/editline] Good luck during the clockwork mansion
I love to hurt myself in weird ways. I just notice it's impossible to get all the runes or bones in the game. Because on the Mission "The Good Doctor" You literally need blink to get to the location of one. It's also prevent you from getting "Fearless Fell" achievement. Thankfully most players will use blink in there first play through.
Are bonecharms traits assigned at random or is it always the same specific ones? I see people talk about one that makes choking faster but I'm at the clockwork mansion and haven't seen it yet. I'm doing a non-lethal ghost run and so far all the bonecharms I collected are pretty useless for that.

Just beat the game, sucks I didn't get the shadow achievement because of some silly glitches that somehow alerted the enemies last second on some levels though.
Bonecharms are random with the exception of story specific ones. I reran a mission because for some reason I was credited with a bunch of kills despite knocking out like... three people.
There's a bunch of missions where I'm down several charms by the time I finish, so I guess I'm missing quest ones, or just some around the map. But on a few occasions I've ended up with MORE charms than the level max :| How will I ever know I have them all?
Okay it took me a bit of time but I finally got round to fixing shit up so I could actually start this game and wow, it looks like a sack of turds. I know I'm covering old ground with this but were they drunk when they decided to swap engines?
Jindosh man, you make it too easy. Not only have I killed him with his clockwork soldier blowing up on him, now I ended up [sp]knocking out that Duke and his personal guards with the oh-so-helpful clockwork soldier in the room with them. All I had to do was shoot the head and the ensuing battle and electrocution did the rest.[/sp] :v:

When I'll get the game, I'll look forward not to kill anyone, but a selected few, depending on the circumstances. However, I won't get mad if I'll end up not getting a pacifist trophy or something. I still remember fondly how the first game always put one or two kills on me at random at the end of each level, with me wondering for minutes how the fuck they could had happened
My second playthrough was an attempt to use the Heart, and only kill those that deserve it. [sp]Everyone in Karnaca is a fucking monster. Even the civillians.[/sp]
the solution is to kill everyone

Couple highlights:
-Auto-detection of the Visual settings was re-worked based on player feedback and observed issues. If still experiencing issues after updating drivers and downloading patch 1.2, advise using the “Restore Settings” option to apply the recommended settings for your hardware. -Fixed various issues related to multiple monitors -Added a Framerate Limiter so the player can limit framerate fluctuation when playing without V-sync -Fixed a bug where AMD GPU experienced huge framerate drops when there is cloth simulation in the environment. -Fixed a bug where VRAM usage was higher than available VRAM -Improved CPU cores utilization on high and low-end machines -Fixed a bug where mouse sensitivity was framerate dependent
I'm anxious to hear some feedback
i didn't know you could use domino on a doppleganger. that definitely could come in handy
It's actually one of the loading screen hints, IIRC.
Navigating jindosh's mansion while trying not to kill or be seen is a bloody nightmare...
Navigating jindosh's mansion while trying not to kill or be seen is a bloody nightmare...
The only part I had an issue with was [sp]his lab and the upper level with the two clockworks making it impossible to knock him out without being seen.[/sp]
New beta patch is out! Another whopping 6.5GB. Couple highlights:
Not only does the game look better for me now that I can fine tune more settings, but it runs a whole lot better too. Only problem is I'm still crashing to desktop at random with no error message or event log. It's like the game is ALT-F4ing itself.
I'm only occasionally reading this thread as I don't want to read spoilers accidentally, but is it normal that my game didn't even download Update 1.1 officially, yet 1.2 is already out as beta patch? edit: just tried out the beta patch. It definitely runs better than before but why does this game run better in borderless window than fullscreen? My fps go down to 30-35 fps with the same options but stay at 55 fps with borderless window in outer areas, while everything is on high. Shouldnt it be the other way around?
Spent 3 hours on the Jindosh riddle and couldn't solve it, turned out [sp]I was 80% into the correct solution, couldn't get the code right, then read far too much into the phrasing and tried radically different solutions slowly devolving into a confusion soup. I then gave up and found the note with the code ingame, and even then couldn't put the pieces together despite having the answers which was even more maddening. Turns out the names/heirlooms can go into ANY slot in the door provided they match, they don't have to be far left chair, left chair, middle chair etc. I'm just not cut out for grammar based riddles. End me[/sp] [editline]22nd November 2016[/editline] I'll have another pop at it next playthrough though.
