The patches didn't fix the priority as well. It's still set on normal/low when I start it. Damn. I had to use Process Lasso to force it to high.
Spent 3 hours on the Jindosh riddle and couldn't solve it, turned out [sp]I was 80% into the correct solution, couldn't get the code right, then read far too much into the phrasing and tried radically different solutions slowly devolving into a confusion soup. I then gave up and found the note with the code ingame, and even then couldn't put the pieces together despite having the answers which was even more maddening. Turns out the names/heirlooms can go into ANY slot in the door provided they match, they don't have to be far left chair, left chair, middle chair etc. I'm just not cut out for grammar based riddles. End me[/sp] [editline]22nd November 2016[/editline] I'll have another pop at it next playthrough though. I just saw post on reddit saying they got a performance increase with borderless windowed, so you might be right I think the same thing happened with Fallout 4 at one point
i used this logic chart that already has all the variables instead of trying to painstakingly do it by hand

Otherwise I was using an Excel spreadsheet once I got bored of rubbing out pencil I'll give it another shot next playthrough now that I understand how the phrasing works
Wait, what's that riddle people are talking about? I went through the Clockwork Mansion and never encountered it, and I thought I fully explored it.
It's in the dust district where the Howlers/Abbey are facing off.
Wait, what's that riddle people are talking about? I went through the Clockwork Mansion and never encountered it, and I thought I fully explored it.
Keep playing, it's mission 6 I think
I finished it without a guide. Too bad the only reward for doing so is skipping content. :v:
I finished it without a guide. Too bad the only reward for doing so is skipping content. :v:
If you're doing a no-powers stealth-only run where runes and most bonecharms are useless to you anyway, it's a good timesaver.
If you're doing a no-powers stealth-only run where runes and most bonecharms are useless to you anyway, it's a good timesaver.
Well some bonecharms are worth getting for small boosts and for anyone doing No Powers run do know that you get 200 coins per rune. Helps you get the upgrades and munitions faster. If you don't want to worry about that then yeah it's a hell of a timesaver.
Finally got Pacifist + Ghost and the best possible endings. God that shit was so irritating; my F5 key hates me I don't even want to think about doing a no powers run
Stun Mines make pacifist so much easier.
Stun Mines make pacifist so much easier.
Full upgraded stun mines are ridiculous: 3 charges, each charge can stun multiple targets. With a maxed bonecharm range upgrade a single charge can take out an entire room and will take out automatons as well.
Excuse me again, but ... is the PC version finally fixed or what?
Excuse me again, but ... is the PC version finally fixed or what?
Sort of. If you're on higher-end hardware, it's becoming bearable. Low end still suffers, afaik.
i5 2500k 4.5ghz 780 SLI Still runs horribly ;_;
Excuse me again, but ... is the PC version finally fixed or what?
They fixed some major problems but still many problems there. Most notably weird frame drops and frame pacing (for me). Some say it's the motion blur that affects the frame pacing negatively, since you can't turn it off.
Excuse me again, but ... is the PC version finally fixed or what?
An update came out but doesn't seem to do much. Jesus I can live with lowering some settings but no matter what, the mouse movement feels horrible.
An update came out but doesn't seem to do much. Jesus I can live with lowering some settings but no matter what, the mouse movement feels horrible.
Have you turned off Mouse smoothing? They fixed the the tie with the framerate.
You see, I really want to buy this game, but I'm struggling between picking the PC or the PS4 (Pro) version
You see, I really want to buy this game, but I'm struggling between picking the PC or the PS4 (Pro) version
The PS4 version has some heinous input lag.
Im currently playing through the ps4 version and it feels like its got the most restricted FOV i've ever seen in a game. still loving it though
I can't afford Dishonored 2 yet (Australian game prices hayo!) so instead I'm re-playing Dishonored 1 and blatantly ignoring the stealth, being the Loudest Man in Dunwall. It's going about as well as expected:
I wonder if we'll ever have a truly smooth experience with D2 in the future. Arkham Knight was fixed after one year and now runs beautiful but here the fault is the engine itself.
What the fuck I'm doing the [sp]Luca Abel Mission, and apparently the only way to do it nonlethally was to talk to the body double who I spooked and wouldn't talk to me, so I knocked him out.[/sp] That's bullshit. That's really, really bad. I don't care if I missed out on an alternative ending to the mission, there is no reason that I should be forced to do that. The quest just switches to "Kill Him".

It's not like he's going to alert anyone either because iirc there are no guards in there.

Don't know if the guard is dependent on chaos level or not.
There were like ten fucking guards near him on 0 chaos???
Could be difficulty based? I definitely had only one guard in the room but I basically sprinted towards him, so it could depend on time.
Wouldn't taking the guards out and then hiding their bodies calm him though?
I had two guards and an inactive Clockwork in his office and after about ten seconds of me pondering how to get rid of them, he just asked them to leave him alone for a while. I just hopped down from the shelf and talked to him. The duke himself was alone in his room. I just walked over the roof, k.o'd the guards on the balconies and let myself in. Second highest difficulty if anyone's curious.
