the bedroom has one guard and hes told to leave after abel or his double has a monologue
Well I'm finally about to sink my teeth in to Dishonored 2. Hopefully I won't be marred by technical issues. I've been looking forward to this since it was announced.

I did. I like it so far, but the fact my mouse sensitivity cant seem to be changes makes it hard to play. Just not as delicate as you expect from a mouse. Overall, I can live with playing on low, I think I looks good still. Hopefully i can finish it in the time I have, but I wouldn't be horrible upset if maybe I have to start over after a few more patches.
Oh god, I found an enemy that is obsessed with killing herself. If I tranq her, she falls to her death, if she sees me, she somehow trips and faceplants two floors down

Go up the house she's in, get close to her (under her should be enough, if not get to the "room" next to her and hit something to startle her. She'll fall to her death on her own and you won't get a kill that would impact a possible clean hands run.[/sp]
The performance issues in this game atm. imo are the worst kind. The kind that really pisses me off. It's not so much the hardware but just the game overall itself. Some areas get great frames, others are so bad it doesn't matter what settings you have it on. You basically have to have medium balanced settings because if you hit those low frame pockets you won't suffer as much but the game will still look alright. Turns out I can almost max out the game but only in certain spots looking certain directions..
I really want to get into this game but I'm having a rough time. I've only played a tiny bit of the game, but so far the story isn't hooking me, the pacing is way off (that intro especially), the dialogue and voice acting is weak and unnatural sounding, and of course there's the performance issues keeping me from seeing the rest of the game through. I'm just not going to bother until the performance is fixed, or at least improved. The rest of the game is good so far, so I feel like once I can run the damn thing reasonably I may be able to look past those other gripes
When I get home from work tonight, I'll be giving this game a shot. Hopefully it runs okay for me.
Guys, it's Black Friday and I must choose now: PS4 or PC version? My PC is outfitted with a NVidia GeForce GTX 970, 8 GB RAM and an an Intel Core i5-3450 CPU at 3.10 Ghz
Man if your PC experience is 10x as good as mine I still wouldn't recommend it but I get the impression this game doesn't like my AMD card. ...I'm a bitter husk of a man after this game's release.

I've got it on ultra on a 1070, frame rates at 60, sometimes drops to 30-45 in Karnaca But it still feels odd, maybe it's the head bob or movement but it all feels weird coming from Titanfall
Beat the game yesterday. Now I'm gonna try a Corvo play through on very hard, stealth, no kills, no knock outs (except for story npcs), and no powers. RIP ME already on the asylum mission I'm so fucked.
Finally made it to the 6 mission.
Finally made it to the 6 mission.
how many quicksaves have you made

This game even with the beta patch still runs like ass for me. I have a hard time believing that a 780ti/i5 3570k can't handle it. If it's truly an engine problem then there might not be any hope for people with midrange systems :I
Started doing second walkthrough as corvo in attempt to get clean hands achievement and on a first mission someone somehow already died. And I noticed it way too late :scream:
That's weird, I can run it medium-high on a 780/i5 4430 and get 60fps in most areas, dips to 40fps in the most denses.
You see, my dilemma here is that, if I'm going to lower the graphical setting to ultra-ish to high, or even slightly high, just to have an half consistent framerate on the PC, I'm better off buying it on the Playstation 4
The mission with the uh... perspective switcher literally feels like it was untested on PC, it runs like it is about to crash every time you use that item
I hope they address the issues with the game on pc. I'm a huge dishonored fan but I refunded the second game in less than half an hour, I never even saw the main menu, it would just CTD on start up.
Mine has a tendency to crash to black screen from time time, usually when loading which kinda sucks. Not the only game that does that though. What I play I like, the performance is regrettable though. I had honestly expected more from Arkane. Of course this is a game I will end up playing several times. So hopefully in the future things won't be so bad.
The mission with the uh... perspective switcher literally feels like it was untested on PC, it runs like it is about to crash every time you use that item
Probably another strange port issue. When I played it I only got a very small hitch while transitioning.
At this point, I'll buy the PC version and then ask for a refound if things start to go downhill
I swear the update has just made everything run worse.
It runs okay for me now on a r9 280x. Textures and details on high, the rest medium, aa through drivers. Runs and looks better than mafia 3. It looked horrible at first and I couldn't figure out why, turns out it was the 'adaptive resolution'. Never seen it in any other game and I think with good reason.

the game actually runs really rather well for me. I'm playing it on Ultra on a 1070 and a 4690k CPU and it's fairly steady around 60, drops to 40 in some areas but it's not as devastating as I thought it would be.
[sp] Is there any benefit to killing meghan and sokolov at the end? I mean ive gone non-lethal so far (I think anyway the mission where you have choose between the gang or the guard I gave one of the leaders to the other)[/sp] [sp] I quick saved and knocked meaghan out and threw her and sokolov and he cried which I thought was funny [/sp]
