In the first dishonored, the rats laugh when you pause. My friends are all poking fun at me for saying it and saying I'm making it up. Do people really not notice their laughter? Only in packs, not alone. [editline]1st December 2016[/editline] I recorded it now to prove it.

i cannot believe how horrific the story and exposition in dishonored 2 is, especially how cringey the dialog is at times. but with that being said the gameplay and world building makes up for it and more. i find myself getting sucked in for exorbitant amounts of time which generally doesnt happen for me with video games anymore. the non lethal pathways are just so fucking satisfying to execute perfectly, and the powers that emily have are just as useful as corvo's. far reach is just as good as blink, but they suit two completely different playstyles. i'm looking forward to replaying this game, but i reallly hope they make more cutscenes skippable or SOMETHING because i find myself even skipping a bunch of cutscenes the first time around.

It has been pointed out to me how the whole prologue of Dishonored 2 really works because nearly all the people involved are fucking idiots. To be more precise: 1) In the first game, the citizens of Dunwall discovered that really, Corvo is a nice guy and was framed by [sp]two power-hungry groups[/sp] for crimes he didn't commit. He was a pitiful victim. Enters Dishonored 2, someone tries to ruin Corvo's reputation again and everyone is like "Oh yeah, I've always thought that Corvo guy was up to no good" 2) Corvo isn't helping is case either, with all the gruffy demeanour and always sounding like he hates everything and everyone he's in mere contact with 3) Granted, the guard captain was corrupt at the time, but apparently everyone in Dunwall's court think it's paerfectly fine for guests to bring in soldiers and, let's say, dangerous-looking automata that look kinda armed 4) When Delilah makes her move, Emily doesn't do anything like, I don't know, ask Delilah who the fuck she is or how can she back up her sudden claim to the throne, but she just tells her that she can stay, given she's her aunt and all. This display goes as well as you'd expect
I think it would have been far better for the plot, if we just had gotten an entirely new protagonist, with his own reason for murdering a bunch of people and maybe even being in conflict with Corvo and Emily.
3) Granted, the guard captain was corrupt at the time, but apparently everyone in Dunwall's court think it's paerfectly fine for guests to bring in soldiers and, let's say, dangerous-looking automata that look kinda armed
To be fair, they might not have known the clockworks were not approved by Corvo until he said something about it. Why wouldn't the Duke travel with an armed escort?
anyone else getting weird issues with the audio, like noises in the background and voices just randomly cut out, but its not a complete audio loss?
Is Shadow Walk any good for an unlockable power for Emily? If I got this right, it basically make you far harder to detect, but I'm hitting the Royal Conservatory and this far I wasn't detected even once and managed to evade all enemies without anything fancy, so unlocking Shadow Walk could be a waste of four runes
also is it just me or is the game really blurry? im not sure if its just in distances because of some heat shimmer effect but it really bugs my eyes. It shouldn't be the adaptive resolution because I've made sure to turn that off
It might be the AA. The Game's AA really blurs things for me.

Agreed, the giant grasping arms make me question just how hidden I am so I don't use it for that normally. I've used it sparingly to spring an ambush that I couldn't spring with Far Reach without yanking the guards towards me.
It might be the AA. I got Dishonored 2 yesterday but the game stutters like crazy, especially in the part about [sp]the doctor being the crown killer [/sp] Guess they haven't fixed that yet...

Fuck I'm dumb. I just started my third playthrough and I was determined to finally play a level without being seen or killing anyone. I started and immediately threw a guard over a Balcony and killed him and completely forgot about him until I climbed onto the Boat at the end. And the bodies got found anyway.
I can't tell if this is a stylistic choice or if its a problem with the graphics. I have adaptive resolution turned off, and for this pic I've turned all the AA off just incase its the fxaa making it blurry, but this to me looks like some sort of res scaling issue if you look at the sign. Wow, the Royal Conservatory is a severe drop in difficulty from the Clockwork Mansion. The level's layout is far simpler and the non-lethal option, on top of being fairly easy to unlock, knocks down all the enmies in the area unconcious upon activation
Tbh the Clockwork Mansion becomes alot easier once you roughly know the layout. My second (no powers) playthrough went alot smoother, once I knew where to actually go (and how to cheese the clockwork soldiers).

My second (no powers) playthrough went alot smoother, once I knew where to actually go (and how to cheese the clockwork soldiers).
The main difficulty I had in the Mansion were the clockwork soldier, since I'm going for a Ghost/Clean Hands playthrough. If you want to play the game as I do, you must flat out ignore those things and never engage, which is easier said than done (it doesn't help that (a) you can't rewrite them because, more often than note, they'll kill people in your name (b) Jindosh, your target, is closely watched by two of them)
When I found out that they didn't count for kills, I just used springrazors and stun mines on the ones that are in my way. Ghost + Clean Hands too. :v:
Got the classic, one person dying half way through a mission and me no realizing resulting in 4 hours gone, they really need like a one off sound chime thats sounds when you kill someone
I forgot to mention that I've beaten the game with Emily, Low Chaos, Clean Hands, Ghost and what I can only assume is the golden ending where everyone is reasonably happy. The only review I can write about this game is that is basically a great upgrade from Dishonored 2 gameplay-wise, with the only nitpicks being the story, the targets not being as varied and unique as in the original game and the final confrontation being basically [sp]the last battle of the last Knife of Dunwall DLC reharsed[/sp]. As of now I basically snapped and I'm doing a last, High Chaos run with Corvo on Easy, which feels like cheating to me but whatever

And it looks like it is avalaible in betapatch branch on steam (need to check it myself tho)
Oh thank god, they finally made it so I don't have to press Enter to continue when a loading screen finishes. That was irritating as hell considering how often I quickload.
I don't understand why it's going to take until January before we get mission select. [editline]14th December 2016[/editline]
Fixed Oraculum false-kill count in Royal Conservatory Fixed various Bonecharm effects (Strong Arm, Spiritual Pool, etc)
yesss
Fixed Oraculum false-kill count in Royal Conservatory Fixed various Bonecharm effects (Strong Arm, Spiritual Pool, etc
kinda surprised it took them this long but eh v:v:v might be time to start another playthrough
