kinda surprised it took them this long but eh v:v:v might be time to start another playthrough
is there any video out there of it working now? im curious, it could be so helpful in a ghost/nonlethal run
Okay, so am I missing something? I'm currently doing a ghost run in Dishonored Definitive Edition and already in High Overseer Campbell it says I'm being detected. Is there something I'm forgetting about bodies being discovered count?
Did you arrange the poison to only kill Campbell? Iirc, the guy who you are supposed to save (can't remember his name) will trigger mapwide alarm and nullify the ghost bonus.
Nah, I smashed the glasses to save Curnow. I wouldn't think that would nullify anything, since he's not a typical NPC
Nah, in your case something else is wrong then prolly, smashing the glasses causes [sp]both of them to descend into the basement, away from everyone else and doesnt trigger any alarms.[/sp]
I think I figured it out, I was probably getting detected when dealing with Granny Rags's "gentlemen callers." Got it now
Dishonored 2 is €40.19 on steam right now. Is the performance any better than it was on launch? I'm considering buying it but if the performance is still shit I'll wait for another sale.

They fixed some stuff but it's still nowhere being good as it should. Still inconsistent as hell. Framepacing is awful as well, sometimes there is none at all sometimes even in the smallest rooms. So annoying. The performance disaster actually made me mad enough to simply kill everything on my first playthrough :/
Finished today, I really liked it. I will have to go back over it with Corvo before I go for NG+ though. I ended up really liking Emily's Far Reach and Domino, especially yanking 4 guys at once in a fight. I'll have to see how Corvo's powers were expanded.
So, um, Far Reach is a little interesting in how it works. Long and short, if you're trying to get from the air to the ground, don't use it. I tried pulling myself down to a coal wagon after jumping off a roof and it launched me forward at mach speed and because (as far as I know) you can't use it twice in the air, I impacted the ground so hard that archaeologist dug up my remains a year later and thought I was the missing link.

It was unpredictably fun, despite being counter-intuitive in a stealth game

Those slider options sound awesome, can't help but imagine they'll disable achievements though.
Okay I just gave in and bought the game. For PS4, cause I was scared I couldn't run it properly. Should've just gone for a refund on Steam if that was the case, but eh. As a long time Dishonored fan, I started as a powerless Corvo on the hardest difficulty and it seems pretty awesome so far. Controls don't feel as precise using a controller though.
Man, I hate Bloodflies. So icky. Especially compared to the rats from the first game. But I love to hate them, they feel very well implemented.

Like you can feel them on the back of my neck right now.
I started playing a few minutes ago and have already run into a stupid problem. Who's bright idea was it to make guards suspicious of a fucking open door? I opened a door and two guards saw it (after it opened, not as it opened) and immediately went to investigate the door. Then they went back to the start of their patrols, but decided that they'd rather stand there forever. So now I can't sneak past because one of the guards is staring directly at where I want to go, and I can't knock him out because another guard is staring at him. I can't revert to before I opened the door because the game was kind enough to autosave the second I opened it and I'm like 20 minutes into the game so I didn't bother saving. I like to play stealth games as quietly as possible, and knocking out as few guards as I can. I'd appreciate it if the game didn't fuck me over because I opened a fucking door.
Some doors aren't meant to be left open, they're meant to investigate stuff like that. Normally they shut the door so I guess them getting stuck is a bug.
On the other hand, sometimes I can open a door right in front of a guard and they don't even seem to care. "That thing? Oh, it's just the spooky haunted door that opens itself. It does that all the time."
At one point I resorted to open doors at critical times in order to break some dangerouns guards placements
Alright, now that I'm some way into the game and I'm used to the fact that guards are actually competent, this game is pretty damn good. I was never able to replay the first game (since I burned myself out playing it 3 times in a row when it came out), but the new setting and powers are very refreshing. It took fucking ages for me to get my head around the fact that Emily's power isn't Blink, and that using it on a ceiling is a great way to move fast. And that you can throw yourself off cliffs very easily.
According to Arkane ceiling fans are very sensitive to broken blinds. I've been reloading the save a few times and it still happened. This was the Clockwork Mansion mission in the lower district.
Game Update 2 is now in Beta. Custom difficulties and Mission selects, along with various fixes.
Man, I'm about halfway through the game I guess, still pure, powerless ghost pacifist. It's pretty hard sometimes (still not used to the controller), but damn is it satisfying.
Game Update 2 is now in Beta. Custom difficulties and Mission selects, along with various fixes.
Have they fixed up performance yet? I've had the game since launch but haven't had the motivation to continue because of how badly the game performs and how constant the freezes and crashes are for me.
Fixed some stuff. The performance issues in the first two levels are the worst. It gets a bit better afterwards. Didn't try out the latest update.
Finished the game. Got flooded with achievements after the final mission. :v: I really enjoyed it and I can't wait to start my mass murder Emily playthrough.
Am I the only one who thinks the [sp]crown killer being Hypatia in like the first proper mission[/sp] was kinda... underwhelming? She looked way cooler on all the posters and in the beginning, when you see her standing next to Delilah in the void. I hoped it would be more of a chase.
