So according to steam discussions... the game sets its own CPU priority level to Low, even when you change it to any other... that may cause most of the problems with performance, so here I am hoping for quick little patch [editline]10th November 2016[/editline] oh come on!!!
So my specs are a GTX 970, Intel Core i7 CPU 960 @ 3.20GHz, and 12gb of memory. Would I have much trouble running this?

I noticed that the model detail setting also does nothing, all props remain exactly the same.
People on steam forums say that for some reason Dishonored2.exe keeps setting it's priority in task manager to Low. Tried changing it to High, but it keeps resetting back.
Thank you Dishonored2.exe for looking out for me. But when I start you, I want to give you all the attention you need. Don't be so shy.
runs like scheiße not only that but the mouse sensitivity seems tied with the framerate dunno how they managed to fuck up this bad after the first one
runs like scheiße not only that but the mouse sensitivity seems tied with the framerate dunno how they managed to fuck up this bad after the first one
I've managed to get the game playable (40FPS+ with high/very high settings at 1920x1200) - have a look below if you have an AMD card: RX 480 8GB / i5 3570K 4.2GHz OC / 16GB DDR3 RAM 1920x1200 Dynamic vsync enabled via RadeonPro - make sure OpenGL Triple Buffering is disabled if it gets auto-enabled Flip queue size set to 1 via RadeonPro In-game volumetric lighting disabled In-game vsync disabled Adaptive resolution set to 100 In-game FXAA high All other game settings set to a mix of very high and high. All other effects set to on.
My game seems to crash if I do too much at once. Like spam F to pick up a bunch of items, or stop time and kill a bunch of enemies :v: [editline]10th November 2016[/editline] Worst of all it doesn't give any kind of error. The game just crashes to desktop immediately and there isn't even anything in the windows event log.

So I finaly got chance to play a bit, went through first mission and "hub"(took me 3 hours because I'm explorer), runs exactly as people were saying (i5 4460, 8gigs of ram, gtx 970). Currently playing 1440p on "Very high" preset minus TXAA and Framerate seems to hold between 35-55 depending on place where I am (indoors/outdoors), took me a while to get used to, but now I'm ok with it cause the game looks very good, and plays very well. I'll just leave two spoiler free screenshots here, both situations felt/looked very funny to me [T]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/275111928023015429/A1C45B489296ABCCFF649E61FC7A5CF9CE2CF1AA/?interpolation=lanczos-none&output-format=jpeg&output-quality=95&fit=inside|2048:1152&composite-to%3D%2A%2C%2A%7C2048%3A1152&background-color=black[/T] [T]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/275111928023014892/479381A69CC142443FD90B927861573D4C815F6F/[/T]
I'm starting to think that this game would be perfect to test out my newly acquired Playstation 4 Pro, but I'll wait to see if they can patch it in the next weeks or so
http://www.pcgamer.com/bethesda-recommends-fixes-for-dishonored-2-performance-turn-down-your-settings/ wonderful, thanks bethesda!
That's some wonderful quality assurance that they're really concerned with this game. "Your car is running faulty!" Company; "Just drive less!"
im enjoying what's there so far, but damn would be nice without the performance issues.
I'm going to wait a few days before starting to see if there's some kind of performance patch. I'd rather not have my first impressions ruined by bad performance and having to constantly mess with graphics options.
I hope they fix the issues. So many games releasing this year that have awful optimisation, even on consoles sometimes
People on steam forums say that for some reason Dishonored2.exe keeps setting it's priority in task manager to Low. Tried changing it to High, but it keeps resetting back.
Can confirm. Did they do this on purpose or are the devs really this inept.
The mouse-FPS stuttering has to be the most enraging thing in the world. You guys could try looking at the resolution it has your game set to also, for some reason the game set mine to like double my actual resolution. I really hope they fix this by sometime tomorrow because I was SO hyped and right now it's pretty much unplayable in my opinion, unstable FPS is painful on the eyes.
The nonlethal elimination for [sp]the Duke[/sp] is probably my favorite one in the series now.
Is there any way to mute the fucking protagonist
Is my memory garbage, or was the first one this hard? I'm having a hell of a time, and I'm not sure why. Played mostly non-lethal in 1, but doing the same in 2 is getting me fucked in all sorts of different ways.
[sp]You convince the body double to take over instead of the duke while making everyone believe that the real duke is the body double who went crazy.[/sp]
Damn it, now I regret killing him. I even did the other "bosses" all non-lethal
Sorry to press the issue again, but is anyone playing on a Playstation 4? Any problems on that end?
Sorry to press the issue again, but is anyone playing on a Playstation 4? Any problems on that end?
I haven't had any issues with it at all.
Fucking hell, I hate bloodflies so fucking much. I already have a phobia of stinging insects in real life, but these goddamn things put me so much on edge I can barely play the game. Every time I hear them buzzing I can feel it.
Same here, in Dishonored 1 I always just bought sleep darts, now it's sleep + incendiary
