Space bikers have no need for miniguns
Oh really?
It would be badass if you were able to pick up the minigun from the Heavy weapons grunt.
You can in Sven Co-op
I mean the model used on the alpha model, not the sven co-op model Edited: The minigun used on the Alpha Hassault.
About that software blur, the retail (maybe on steam too) version of half-life blurs the screen when it plays the fade out animation. It can be seen right in the beginning of the game. Only in software mode.
That's not the same blur effect. What it's doing (during fadein/fadeout) is reusing the waterwarp screen buffer effect to perform tint calculation on, since it's faster than reading from video memory.

The Zentradi robot has a walk animation.
The detail on that view model is astounding.
Looks almost like a brush.
Looks almost like a brush.
I think they found that model in the HL SDK but I can't be so sure They also found a very early crossbow viewmodel Also I'm unsure if it had animations or not
In case anyone is interested in Communications Center chapter's history, here's an article I'm working on: http://combineoverwiki.net/wiki/User:Barnz/Sandbox There will be quotes from Marc Laidlaw, explaining the backstory for the chapter and their original ideas.
http://combineoverwiki.net/wiki/File:V_20mm_cannon.jpg I found this on the combine overwiki
It's not the viewmodel, it's the machine gun of the sarge's model at a such angle that makes it looks like a viewmodel.
It's not the viewmodel, it's the machine gun of the sarge's model at a such angle that makes it looks like a viewmodel.
And what if it isn't?
Half-Life should have totally had the ability to let you play the saxophone at your enemies as a weapon.
holy shit I want that as the next wtf mod
It's not the viewmodel, it's the machine gun of the sarge's model at a such angle that makes it looks like a viewmodel.
And where would the hands be at? its obviously not being held by the grunt.
And where would the hands be at? its obviously not being held by the grunt.
there is no such thing as "deleting the grunt's texture groups". nope, that's totally not one of the first things you learn in Milkshape. nope nope nope.
I wish someone could remake this chapter. I even had a working female scientist model (by Sappy).

Hello, i couldn´t find you to thank you about talking about my walkthrough of HL: Decay (that i must end translating, by the way).
Yes. You're from Half-Life: Spain, is that right? Great work on the article.
Yes. You're from Half-Life: Spain, is that right? Great work on the article.
Yeah. I hope i can release it where it can be visited quickier (i was planning about posting it at the Steam Guides, but mods can´t have game hubs). And of course, here is our timelord Marphy.
any news on progress of decompiling/porting models yet? i dont know why, but i really want to see these models in retail, i think it would be cool honestly.
Well unfortunately, i don't have much time for HL Alpha related work recently... but i already have early version of MDL v6 decompiler and slightly improved version of MDL v6 viewer (anim. interpolation, fixed camera setup etc.), i hope i will be able to look at it again on this weekend... sorry guys i really wish i had more time for this. Edit: I had some spare time today, so i did some work on model decompiler (WIP): I will release it as standalone console application, which will "feel" like Kratistos model decompiler (I don't have source code of Kratistos mdldec, so I had to do it from a scratch... meh).
did anyone else get a new message when trying to play Half-Life 1? it's trying to convert the content to a "more effecient format"
