That won't work. You need to copy the demo files to a directory on your hard disk and delete it from there.
If you guys want this, because buying it from that guy is a total scam. Here. http://www.valvetime.net/threads/half-life-1997-alpha-preview-disc-leaked.243023/
I thought this logo was only made in the past few years. I never knew it existed as far back as 1997.
That makes Valves new, moving logo that much more frightening.
Wow, to think that we would have been stuck with esdf instead of wasd for movement in most games. [editline]god[/editline] Pioneering at its finest
edsf owns for mmos
The abstract architecture is really cool, has a certain charm to it. Reminds me of the early Doom alphas.
Oh shit, it's Ivan the space biker Valve's official model of Brian Blessed
Anyone knows how to properly install this? tried using universal extractor and it keeps crashing and giving me errors.
Anyone knows how to properly install this? tried using universal extractor and it keeps crashing and giving me errors.
From the Reddit thread:
Download both files in a same folder, open HLAlphabyJayzer.cue with Daemon Tools Lite ( It's free ), mount it, it will appear in your virtual cd drive, open it up, copy Half-Life folder to your Hard Drive Disk, then remove Opengl32.dll from there, then launch Half-Life GL.bat, enjoy.
I wonder if there's any way to get the models to work with the Half-Life 1 model viewer. I also wonder if I can get these bitches to replace shit in Half-Life 1. Man this is such a good day.
[img_thumb]http://puu.sh/1LfYh[/img_thumb] Why do headcrabs have assholes?
Half-life used to have much more of that penisbutthole-vaginaboob action back in the beta days according to Raising the Bar
def going to download and host a dm game
That DM map looks an awful lot like that Hidden: Source map.
This post didn't ask for so many boxes, because it totally does look like it. The storage room with boxes, and the cross-shape two-level metal structure gave it away instantly. And I never even played Hidden: Source much, only when it was in alpha/beta or something, like.. 4 years ago at least? Wow.
Cool, it's about the size of one half of an MO cartridge. I'll archive this as well then.
there are a lot of spots throughout the maps with panthereyes just standing there doing their walk cycle. i guess they just never bothered to program any AI for them [editline]8th January 2013[/editline] there's an alpha version of worldcraft included with this, but it needs some dll to run. if anyone can get it working we might find something fun in there
def going to download and host a dm game
That would be cool... (only if it worked).
http://www.valvesoftware.com/hocopus/ interesting little page
That things works well and all, but I can't figure out how to switch weapons. "1" just turns on the flashlight, 2-4 do nothing and from 5 onwards it plays some sounds. Mousewheel also doesn't do anything. [editline]Wow, I'm dumb.[/editline] Whoops, nevermind. Reading the readme is good for me.
I think I abused the F12 button far too much Also shameless screenshot self promotion in case you haven't already taken a lot (hint you should have) [editline]8th January 2013[/editline]
http://www.valvesoftware.com/hocopus/ interesting little page

If you REALLY wanna k!ck @ss, try the 1:1 scale stuff from http://www.tecinfo.com/~jayhawk/airsoft.html ...yeah, good stuff for “ventilating” dear ol’ Ben ;-) -Vik Long

...yeah, good stuff for “ventilating” dear ol’ Ben ;-)
oh god what
