I don't know a solution, but I may have figured out the cause: in the alpha every time you hit a loading screen you gain some health, so I'm left to assume the alpha maps changelevel trigger is different from the retail. My guess is that it somehow gives the player an invalid health amount.
I've noticed in the ent files created by ripent that the changelevels don't reference any landmarks, yet there are landmarks present in the general vicinity of the changelevels. That probably contributes to it not working, as well.

EDIT: If I could get changelevels to work, then I would have an actual mod on my hands...

Interesting how all textures used in those maps are still there even though the leaked build is dated 1 year before release. Compare this to HL2 where shitton of textures and models were removed since 2003 leak.
There's a whole shit ton of unused textures in the Half-Life files. Probably more unused textures then used ones, which is great for modders and such.
Were there any signs of earlier G-Man, except face texture?

I also forgot about the render in the Worldcraft info doc

and the suit and face textures can be found in HL1S and the leaked version too.

the beta suit textures are really lowdef compared to retail, but if you crank up the brightness you can see the old tie on him
Where are these textures exactly?

Valve only replaced textures for keypads, retinal scanners, and lots of other small random shit like that.

Seems like they were going for a more obvious alien likeness.

FREEZE.
The game goes into slow motion, seemingly at random. Anyone know why?
Pressing tab (with default controls) causes the game to go into slow motion. Go into the console and type host_framerate 0 to fix
There is a full playthrough of the game in the form of demo files that show someone from VALVe playing through all the maps.
Also R.I.P valve discussion

They are actually stored in the BSPs. Open them up in GCFScape and see for yourselves ^^ Same goes for most versions of valve.bsp
Whatever happened to the model viewer, wasn't somebody making one for the earlier model versions (like the multiplayer models)?
I finally figured out how to fix the broken saving system, and apparently it’s really simple. All you need to do is copy a Quake 1 save and quicksave file (s0.sav and quick.sav) to your Alpha/valve directory
Edit:
Apparently, it saves as type 0, but requests type 16, and won't load.
I can't for the life of me get the FOV to change from default. I've tried every command. How do you change the FOV to something more suitable for a 16:9 resolution?
Anything new happening with the V4 model viewer?

Screw you guys, that's a legitimate question
You can find the link to it in the creator's Steam profile description.
