Does anyone know how to remove the black bars on the top and bottom? I'm playing at my max res on fullscreen (1650x1050) and I went into the config to change the MainX and MainY but they're already at 0.

Well fuck, just found out it's impossible unless you're on 16:9.
So in the [sp]Everfalls is a Troll[/sp]. It ran away so I started to heal myself. Once it charged back I jumped on its head and it fell all the way down with me riding it. I thought I was dead because of that steep drop, turns out I'd survive and kind of skip all the rest my way down.

Sure hope you opened up all the gates.

I'm looking for a webm of someone doing that, pretty sure I saw one a few days ago

Well I didn't... I saw the objective and activated it, after I did that I regretted now exploring all of it first.
Not sure if this was posted before but using the xbox360/ps3 save porting to pc tool its possible to transfer leaked version saves to steam too.
i remember hating this song when i first got DD on launch for 360. i was an idiot.
why is it impossible to find this song anywhere other than G4's website of all places?
It's on B'z's official youtube page. Just type Into Free into youtube and it's the first result.
So, err... about that cheat engine... I kinda want my one-per-playthrough items back.
So, err... about that cheat engine... I kinda want my one-per-playthrough items back.
Mr. Antifun has one to replace items but I don't know how the id's work so you might be boned.
According to a thread on Reddit i saw and some rumors going around, DDPC sales have significantly surpassed console sales already.
All they link to is a deleted post by a capcom employee. Considering the console version surpassed 2 million copies. I doubt they sold that much yesterday when it launched, especially considering around 25 000 played the game at once on PC.
So, err... about that cheat engine... I kinda want my one-per-playthrough items back.
I'll just give you a rundown on item replacing then. No idea how much you know about Cheat Engine so I'll just assume you know nothing.
First, download the newest version of cheat engine here. Make sure to opt out of all the adware installs.
Download the table here
Open the game, open the cheat table with cheat engine, then press the glowing red/green button in the top left and open the DDDA process.
Next, go in game, buy a cheap item in the same category as the item you want, open your inventory and highlight the item.
Then go to cheat engine. Don't use alt-tab unless you've rebound those keys, by default one or the other is bound to changing your inventory page so that'll break it. Use start instead, or windowed mode.
Down in the little window in the bottom, find the entry that says "---> Item Editor", open it by clicking the square button on the left side, then change the Item ID to the Item you wanted.
There's a list of Item ID's here, use the line number -1, so Airtight flast is 0, scrag of beast is 1 and so on.
Then just enter the game again, exit the inventory window and voila, the item has been replaced.
I finally got to try this game out.
Just managed to pick up a rabbit and throw it off a cliff.
10xp
10/10 goty.
Is it worth going for hard mode blind or is it the kind of difficulty where you're required to actually know what you're doing instead of figuring it out along the way
hard mode is genuinely really difficult if you arent NG+ing it or youre a pro at DD since before so i wouldnt do that until you play through the game once. or if youre like me and want difficult video games.
Good god this game is fun, playing Strider and Magick Archer right now.
[sp]The troll in the Everfalls[/sp] just kinda waddled behind a pillar and mysteriously died for me. May have been one of my pawns pushing it off the side but I didn't see anyone near it.
Not surprised that a lot of pawns in the rift are female, definitely surprised that I've only seen one little girl contrary to what some of you guys are saying.
It sometimes just fucking falls off on it's own and dies.
Playing through Dragon's Dogma on hard mode due to being a veteran from the PS3 version and all I can say is this:
Fuck Ogres.

I wouldn't say it's worth it for a first playthrough. I played about a dozen hours before I went hard mode and of course you have to pay attention a lot more, because mistakes cost you much more. Boss enemies become pretty giant damage sponges (but that's only if you're attacking them at a low level or with crap equipment) but at least the battles are more memorable. You can't really deviate from where you should be in the game (i.e. running off into high level areas) like you could on normal

15 minutes of fighting and then it dropkicks you without the courtesy of a telegraph
How much damage does that attack do anyway? I have over a thousand health
edit: Also a PSA because I'm a moron - if you're doing the Troublesome Tome quest, don't kill Maul the bandit leader. I know he says he isn't interested in your gold and you should purposefully try and fuck him up to get the tome, but don't do it. He can give you a quest later
If you do decide to end him, just rest 7 days and he'll reappear. I think this is the case with most NPCs
There's a merchant in the Encampment that sells an item lets you change the look of your character and pawn. You need a lot of rift crystals to buy it though, so you'll most likely not have enough 'til you're near the end of the base game.
Go to the basement of the pawn guild and take the 6 "From a Different Sky" quests. You'll get about 10k RC for doing them and they're extremely easy, too.
So today I learned that my pawn doesn't fucking play.

is it better to hire free pawns or pay a bit? i found some pretty good ones like a lvl 18 warrior so i wonder if it might make the party op hiring some higher level ones
Went into the well, died to the lizards. Fucking save 30min before hand. I forgot how often you need to save in this game, like save after every battle. Seriously. Just do it, it'll save you a headache later on.
Yeah I didn't realize until last night that SAVE / QUIT allowed you to actually SAVE WITHOUT QUITTING. Kinda shitty wording on the dev's part. Either that or I'm a moron, which is just as likely.
Well Save and then continue" was clear enough for me.

What do you mean? The option says "Save and continue"
I'm using a female character and a certain monster got a little excited when I first encountered him. Wasn't fully paying attention and he carried me to certain doom
Literally mirrored the fun I had on the Xbox but holy fuck is this game way more awesome now that I don't get 12 FPS
Well Save and then continue" was clear enough for me.

What do you mean? The option says "Save and continue"
He's talking about the wording of it in the actual pause menu, where it just says SAVE/QUIT, like he said.
Also you can just press I in the pause menu to save.
Also you can just press I in the pause menu to save.
Select or Back for controllers too.
Also you can just press I in the pause menu to save.
Oh shit, well that changes everything

I was fighting an ogre in BBI, still pretty underleveled (40-50 range, not minmaxing) but got him trapped in an AI loop. I would jump on his back for just a second, jump off right as he would try flopping on his back to get me off, then lay into his head while he tried to get up. By the time he got up, enough stamina was back to do it again. So I had him trapped in this loop for what seemed like goddamn forever slowly whittling away at his health, all the way down until just a few pixels were left.
He started getting up like normal. I jumped on his back like normal. He sprinted in the opposite direction from my pawns making a beeline for the nearest bottomless pit and dove in with me still hanging on to his back.
What the fuck.
