So I'm at the final battle [sp]and Quina is my beloved. Great, not who I wanted. I took extensive measures for this not to happen and tripped up once, now I get her. Is she really gone from the game world completely after a parting gift until post game? I'll still play the ending and go back around on hard mode but man, I'm not going to be as committed to this fight as I would have been. What a badly designed system, still not as bad as getting Feste (how would you even do that)[/sp]

Funny thing is,[sp]I totally half arsed her final quest. I didn't even help her retrieve the materials to make the charm, I just bought it from the bloody shop[/sp]
Beloved selection mod when?
Isn't quina like your cousin or something
ew
no, everyone in cassardis calls each other cousin, they're not all cousins
the best romance option is technically Fournival since you can basically keep him in one place in post-game which is important for buying his shit, otherwise you have to wait for him to walk to a safe area to buy stuff

Childhood friend. Not as weird, but just a little bit

[sp]THE GAME ENDED[/sp]
That thing in one of it's hearts, right? I can punch it as hard as I want and I do absolutely no damage at all. So far that thing kills me fast and good while I cannot figure out why I am not doing any damage.

Oh so this is how it works? The only way to actually get a kill is to wait till weakened to a certain point. Then I just hope I kind of made a good contribution since I fought it now several times and it fled two times now.
I have yet to find actual loot, so I guess I am doing fuck all.
youre not supposed to get loot from it until its over??
im hella conflicted now because rangers are awesome but i wanna level assassin too. should i level assassin for a while for that strength bonus then continue as a ranger??
I'm like 140 right now and just getting to the point where I. An do enough damage to ur t be noticeable.
(post final battle spoilers) [sp]What a boss battle, awesome. The music, the dragon's voice, that scene where you're holding on for dear life, just amazing
Big fan of world-affecting effects in games as well, the ashy sky is pretty freaky. This postgame everfall quest is a really interesting concept as well. No one likes you on the surface, so you just fall down a big hole and go do your own thing for a while, haha[/sp]

[sp]TWO COCKATRICES? WTF[/sp]
I really wish more people would hire my pawn. She's been pretty useful in combat and I feel like she has a more unique look than the average pawn, but she's only had like three hires so far.

Pimpin' ain't easy, otherwise everyone would do it.
I "finally" (for what it's worth) got to change my vocation to Magic Archer.
It's fun. Fuck precision aiming with a controller. Especially since my arrows as a Strider would veer to the right anyway.
Somehow I got 4 of the same Steam trading card while playing.

There are no wrong answers and it depends on your playstyle, assassin and ranger are pretty much interchangeable as either high strength or high stamina will benefit either, but stamina is more useful for ranger imo

Well she probably would get more hires if I dressed her up in a bikini, but I don't want to encourage that behavior and I think she looks cool enough as is.

Assassin should be
fighter->10
Sorc->50
Mknight->100
Assassin->200
+ vehemence and clout; not only will you hella stab shit (plus magical stab), but you'll be able to fight not only at night and be able to take a punch on Hard, and should you decide to fight at night and by yourself, well the damage is pretty nuts.
youre not supposed to get loot from it until its over??
You get some when you kill a heart, although it's usually just some materials.
Does anyone know if the (postgame) [sp]bug where you keep clear skies after killing grigs still works?[/sp]

You mean mystic archer, assassin benefits nothing from magic levelling

Pretty happy with my squads fashion now.
[sp]except we swapped classes for perks just now, so our outfits are switched[/sp]
it still works yeah
it still works yeah
I might do it on my NG+ then, those dreary skies are depressing.
i just spent almost all of my disciple points on strider perks, switched my class to assassin, then realised i can't use most of those perks
i guess you learn the hard waaayy
[editline]22nd January 2016[/editline]
are there any benefits to using the assassin class instead of strider if you're probably not gonna be using a shield much? will i eventually get cool dagger/bow abilities again once i go up in rank?

Heaven's Key + 100xK + warrior discs means Sorcerer
In the case of physical weapons, adding enchantment allows the weapon to perform an additional magical damage attack, making the weapon scale greater in power due to factoring the holder's magic attack stat. This can make the weapon attacks of a character that has leveled up mostly in magic-using classes very potent.

The Assassin gets some pretty good dagger and bow skills. It's more geared toward 1v1 combat so it gets fewer crowd control options, but it is a very powerful class.
I want a filter that somehow finds out when a pawn looks like a kid and stops it from spawning it my game, god it looks so retarded, and there's so many of them, ugh.
i've been on assassin for like 100 levels now and my strength/dmg output is 2000 with DA gear
closing in on 3k stamina as well
tho, whenever i run into wraiths, i just stand around because no magic
assassin/ranger/strider also has extremely overpowered(and cheap imo) tactics available, it involves using dmg boosters and blast arrows to kill bosses in literally seconds
Odd that they nerfed ass stab passives 350% but blasts arrowx5/10 for 10 second boss fights is totally aight.
I dragged a pawn named Urist (a dwarf fighter) through the quarry at level 18 and we somehow killed three ogres that were murdering is repeatedly. Two of them died in a huge explosion in a tunnel that I don't know the source of.
The issue is, now I'm level 24 and Urist wasn't exactly super good when we were the same level.
What can I do to show my thanks for tanking three ogres?
Yeah the skill balance is so-so, for some classes many of the skills are gimmicks or very situational at most if you consider you only get to choose 3 at a time
Then you have skills like tenfold arrow that does an absurd amount of damage so it's pretty much a must have, even without blast arrows

Some neat dagger abilities, yeah.
Not to mention double the strength growth.
