Well, just made a new character in hard mode, ran to encampment, made my pawn, tossed him off a cliff, went to BBI, and have so far killed everything up to the last boss in BBI with nothing but throwblasts. They are ridiculously powerful - or maybe it's just the fact they seem to ignore defense? Had to get creative with the living armor but has been smooth running so far. Now grinding xp by going to rotunda of dread, and getting the three elder ogres and eliminators to run themselves off cliffs and railings to their deaths... I was worried I wouldn't enjoy playing sorcerer from 10-200 (probably will stop doing this and go kill offline ur dragon for xp instead later) but this is hilarious.
I'm starting to get a lot of crashes now that I'm on NG+2. It's kinda weird that it's getting more unstable as I get farther into the game.
I'm starting to get a lot of crashes now that I'm on NG+2. It's kinda weird that it's getting more unstable as I get farther into the game.
I honestly hope this is an isolated incident because between the cursed king belt crash and a few small input bugs it'd be nice to have a relatively bug free experience, especially since I don't have a lot of faith in speedy bugfixes (they were pretty quick with the pawn renting reward glitch though I guess)
So...my sorcerer is a mass murderer. I went to The Abby at night and a bunch of undead spawned from the graveyard. My pawn, wasting no time, cast High Bolide, which ended up killing the undead, the crows, and all the nuns that tried to run away screaming, even the ones inside the building. Whoops
Odd that they nerfed ass stab passives 350% but blasts arrowx5/10 for 10 second boss fights is totally aight.
Dire gouge? I was wondering why I did ass damage even with ice enchant on the final boss. Except I had a ton of blast arrows and liquid vim and took all his life in a few seconds.
mmm this ur-dragon gen is taking way too long.
My game crashes when i use Gran Soren's main gate, i have to keep going to the other ones to get out :/
Your arisens are shit. My Mystic knight is a melee god. And when he cast stone jungle, even Death fall to his knee Even dragon fire cannot get through my greatshield. Not to mention he got the widest selection of sick gears to wear.
Can warrior dps stand up to assassin dps?
Am I gimping myself by not switching to other classes and just staying Warrior? I thought about changing to Assassin to get some of its augments, but I dont like the idea of having to juggle gear
Am I gimping myself by not switching to other classes and just staying Warrior? I just hit level 28 and have maxed my own and my Pawn's strider vocation. I wasn't sure if other classes got different augments.

I thought about changing to Assassin to get some of its augments, but I dont like the idea of having to juggle gear
Staying warrior means you get the most HP growth (40 Lv10+, 5 Lv100+) so you'll essentially become a tank. Assassin has the highest strength gains but the lowest defense/mag defense (and anyway, warrior gains are slightly behind, but of course that stacks up level upon level) In the end, I wouldn't sweat it really. I've gotten to level 60 switching between vocations every now and then, and plan to play some assassin and magick archer before ending up on mystic knight. Getting more augments from other vocations is worth it though. The difference between an unoptimised and optimised build at the end of the game is only a 20% difference which can be nullified with the proper buffs anyway, I wouldn't worry too much
Did i miss an important side quest line if i killed the [sp]bandit leader[/sp] at the south of cassardis?, When i reached the fort i just panicked and killed everyone..
Did i miss an important side quest line if i killed the [sp]bandit leader[/sp] at the south of cassardis?, When i reached the fort i just panicked and killed everyone..
Rest for 7 days and he'll respawn, I made the same mistake. The prize for finishing the quest is[sp]an item that you keep in your inventory that stops bandits in the south of Gransys from being hostile to you[/sp]
thats not true though. i still get attacked by bandits when i have the item on me. even the female bandits with the similar item? only bandits i dont get attacked by are the ones in the bases
okay but i still get attacked when i hold the items individually and not both at the same time. not that it matters cause bandits are so easy
Why does this keep happening? I am the big baby that ran in to the big fucking spooky island place at level 7 and came back out at level 15. I am currently level 31, with two level 24 pawns. Am I supposed to be fighting this fucking jerk right now? I started my little trip with 60 plant curatives that I spread out among me and my pawns. I have 10 of these left. They were supposed to be a long term investment. Occasionally he loses a shitload of health when he falls on his side. I think this is a combination of my Pawn being absurdly good with daggers and the mage pawn I hired directing lightning bolts directly at his gaping glowing chest anus. [editline]Update[/editline] I was going to post the top half of this 30 minutes ago, but I forgot. 46 minutes have passed since the first time I spammed the screenshot key after panic firing this fucker out of the sky. The last screenshot was taken 5 minutes ago. For anybody curious I spammed the screenshot key whenever I was not immediately about to die/when I thought I was about to die only for my pawn to dive in and take the mind control swipe instead of me. Here is the album. I had this impression after avoiding death from leaping jellyworms or whatever in the DLC, but the hitboxes in this game seem to be very very solid. Things flying overhead when you start panting or opening a chest, jumping over the tips of drake tails, reverse charging them to avoid swipes and hiding behind big trees to avoid fire. I may fall in to cardiac arrest a few minutes from now as that was a very tense 41 minute fuckfest. I had to pick up my pawns at least a couple dozen times while frantically circling rocks and trees. The in-game battle started right after I rested at a camp, and as the dragon died morning came just a few moments later.
no youre not supposed to fight it. what about DD do you not get? it has zones with extremely dangerous enemies for low levels. did a massive dragon with several healthbars and a 41 minute fight not give you any hint as to where youre actually supposed to be? i mean good job killing it but sheesh dude go read the manual or something
NG+ with fresh BBI and I got this little beauty [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/541923470425269296/BD9C0FBD43E1FFE67CE18FCF88E1AD840CFB9E10/[/t] Arc of Obliteration is so amazing. Still 10s charge but if this shit hits... oh boy.

I'm 100% positive that that spooky island (brokeback isle?) would have been a cakewalk if I had several hundred healing items and a few dozen stacks of throwblasts. On a serious note, I have enjoyed the non-scaling nature of the game. I saw the drake, saw it had fuckoff HP, saw how little damage I did and thought that I should run away and, as arduous as it was, it proved possible to take it down with a whole lot of luck and 60ish healing items. What made it possible was that the attacks actually have mechanics behind them and were varied. As much as I love Dark Souls, the draconic enemies tend to have a handful of attacks that range from AoE blasts to AoE melee that you i-frame through rather than actually dodge. The game being so well built is why I think I survived long enough to get 8 levels out of Brokeback Isle at level 7. It's not that the NPC's are easy to avoid, but rather the game really does heavily reward active players. I'm trying to imagine how bored I'd be if I chose to play a caster, as (the pawn's at least) seem to stay still for several seconds casting even something as simple as the heal spell.

Actually means that fights against heavily mobile enemies are challenging if they come after you.
Yeah, contrary to what pawns might lead you to believe, you can actually move whilst casting most spells, but at a walking pace. Actually means that fights against heavily mobile enemies are challenging if they come after you.
If they ever do make a DD2 then I hope they make sorcerers/mages a bit more mobile (being limited to firing one shot mid air is pretty bull, and standing still for SO LONG after a shockwave strong attack) I get that they need to be vulnerable to melee, but it just seems to be so much more fun to play the melee/ranged vocations The light attack charge move is pretty neat, being able to sprint around while still having it charged is nice. Shame it takes so long to charge, along with the strong charge as well. I think what I'm trying to say is, the moves should be faster to execute but not as damaging in turn, so you feel like you're doing a lot more at any given time (sorcerer felt too slow for me, and I'm playing warrior right now)
I dragged a pawn named Urist (a dwarf fighter) through the quarry at level 18 and we somehow killed three ogres that were murdering is repeatedly. Two of them died in a huge explosion in a tunnel that I don't know the source of. The issue is, now I'm level 24 and Urist wasn't exactly super good when we were the same level. What can I do to show my thanks for tanking three ogres?
Holy shit my pawn is Urist, a dwarf fighter. And you're right he's complete garbage.
Hey if anyone needs a tanky fighter around 30-32 look for my pawn called Orgimmer he is a huge fuck off dude with a bowl cut with a voice like satan himself. Add me if you want. Heres a picture [T]http://i.imgur.com/nu6Dogv.png[/T] EDIT The gear isnt the greatest but this is my first playthrough and have no idea where to get any better stuff
Shit I delivered the 20 Wakestones without realizing what I was doing. Oh well, Bitterblack time
i have 100+ wakestones, i love early ur-dragon generations
OH. MY. GOD. Had the most intense fucking bossfight. Yesterday I killed that cursed dragon in BBI, took me a good 30 minutes but I managed to not die to it and decided it was enough and went to bed. Started again now and went to next boss which was some sort of cyclops (not the first one) and what do you fucking know (not sure if its always like this) the fucking cursed dragon spawns NEXT TO THE CYCLOPS. Had to fight two bosses at the same time, luckily had two wakestones or I would've failed.
Holy shit my pawn is Urist, a dwarf fighter. And you're right he's complete garbage.
My pawn is also Urist, a dwarf fighter. There's probably several dwarves with that name to be honest.
Dire gouge? I was wondering why I did ass damage even with ice enchant on the final boss. Except I had a ton of blast arrows and liquid vim and took all his life in a few seconds.
No, The 20% assassin boost used to be 70% per attack, so when you took vehem and clout, you could get up 120% damage before any other modifiers were applied. [editline]22nd January 2016[/editline]
Can warrior dps stand up to assassin dps?
At night, no; but pure assassin can't take a punch without making screechy noises.
