My pawn is also Urist, a dwarf fighter.
There's probably several dwarves with that name to be honest.
I must find the other Urists and assemble an all dorf squad.

The Ur Dragon just, won't, DIE.
I know the online variant has stupid amounts of health but I just wish I was making a more noticeable contribution than taking 1/1000000th of a health bar every time :frown:
I changed my vocation to Warrior as soon as I got the Gran Soren.
I can't afford to buy the two-hander.
nice

this game has the most boring, standard fantasy enemy designs ever and a story that is literally "find this dragon(??)" but i don't even care because the gameplay is so fun and the world is a blast to explore
i'm having trouble differentiating the main and side quests though. i found the glowing blue light at the bottom of the tomb and now i'm just kinda doing quests for the man in front of the castle, as well as a few around town. do i just have to do all of castle man's quests to progress the story?

Ya yoi gotta finish 2 of the 4 wyrm hunt quests to continue. I'd recommend doing all 4 before moving forward though.
nah, 2/4 needed but its worth doing as many quests as you can. everyone of them, buttspencer.
[sp]ps someone hire my pawn?? her name is Skjoldr and shes a good fighter (lvl 91). better than u probably.[/sp]

Alright fine. Jeez.
Finished Daimon, took me 5 tries at lvl 62. Hard as balls, even with a lvl 100+ pawn. The music is amazing in this game.

Generation 18 is extremely resilient against pretty much everything. There won't be another grace period for a while.
He's killed fairly fast otherwise, each generation of Ur has their own stats.
edit: apparently the devs balanced this generation out to have equal health to the console version, due to us players overgearing his earlier generations and killing him almost immediately
How do I go about acquiring, well, good gear?
I'm now level 35~ and am using pretty much the same stuff from 20 levels ago. Given, some of those things include a kickass blue kilt I got from Brokeback Isle, a pair of stillettos that apply oil and blinding and another pair of stilettos.
My Pawn is dressed in a mismatch of gear and it pains me to see her come back with appearance rating 4 despite looking like shit.
I've just finished the last of the four quests that the Wyrm Hunter License granted me.

i'd love to but i don't wanna remove any difficulty being that i'm still only at level 25 sry dude
Probably late, there's a pretty good chance that your save will get corrupted if you've hired hacked pawns, apparently.
i have acquired dodge roll, i am now dark souls.
this is a good game

Gonna run her through some BBI, just a couple undead dragons or something
Edit: She just like quadruple perfect blocked a bunch of enemies. I forgot how awesome fighter pawns can be!
yes i said she was good. sometimes she'll be stupid slow when the mimic chests in BBI swallow me but ive decided to let her (or any other pawn) get eaten by them instead.

anyone here have a good Magic Archer guide in terms of stats? was thinking going strider - ranger - mage - sorcerer and then MA because of the MA's shit stats
also I really dislike the stat system, they could have fleshed that out more cause if you want to play your favorite class you have to first hop around the others for stats and passives, kinda annoying IMO
The whole time before the PC release I wasn't concerned about the Berserk armor sets being removed, until the day it actually came out when I had the sudden realization that the helmet I used for my characters on 360 was the White Hawk Sallet.
RIP Sparrow and Hawk.
Not really because I'm still making you, but you won't be complete and your names won't make as much sense without the helmet.

Since MA will mostly use magic you may as well just play sorcerer for a while then switch to MA. You also only need to switch up vocations to get augments, stats aren't that important since your gear will be able to deal with that. So the best thing to do for a MA is to play Sorc 'til you get the augment that gives you 20% more magic damage, then have fun with MA.

Mage -> Sorc -> MA.
MA's stats are based entirely off of magic damage except for their daggers which if you get some daggers that have a natural element on them it'll scale off magic anyways.
Augments you want are Acuity (Sorcerer), Attunement (Mage), Articulacy (Sorcerer) and maybe Ferocity (Warrior)
Other than those 4 I use Sinew (fighter) for more carry weight, and then Bloodlust (Assassin) and Sanguinity (Assassin) for more attack and defense at night. Autonomy (Assassin) isn't worth it anymore compared to Vanilla DD. It used to give 70% physical and magic damage boost and a 30% defense and magic defense boost if you were solo but they nerfed it in Dark Arisen so it's only 20% damage boost and that definitely doesn't outweigh the contributions from 3 pawns.
If you really need the extra defense get Bastion (Warrior).
Oh keep in mind if you're going pure sorc to 200 for that sweet sweet magic damage you're going to be squishy as fuck so let your pawns do the tanking while you pelt them with. Going pure sorc also leaves you vulnerable to very very low stamina but oh man is ninefold bolt and ricochet hunter the best skills in the game.
Why hasn't anyone modded the Berserk armors back in? I mean fucks sake, we had a nude mod for a pirated version and we don't have the best armors back yet?

I don't think anyone has bothered to extract the models and stuff from the console versions.

The models literally don't exist in the files anymore. Not sure if you could rip them from the console version, but I don't know anything about that
Model swapping should work at some point, so someone might make them from scratch
yes its those assholey big dogs that sometimes appear when youve killed a bunch of stuff in an area
Game got a lot better for me when I reached gran soren and switched to strider, playing a warrior and pretty much getting one shot by everything was pretty disheartening.
Now equipped with saving after every encounter and being a pansy with my bow, much easier time.
holy FUCK throwblasts do a lot of damage what the hell
God I had forgotten how much cheese Magick Archer is in Bitterblack Isle. What sixfold bolt doesn't kill, ricochet hunter will. Especially when there's so much enclosed space in the case of the latter.
