God I had forgotten how much cheese Magick Archer is in Bitterblack Isle. What sixfold bolt doesn't kill, ricochet hunter will. Especially when there's so much enclosed space in the case of the latter.
Holy Focused Bolt on Sorceror is another great cheesy one. Hide behind a wall, the holy bolts go through walls and auto-target enemies if they are in range. Feels absolutely filthy haha
So I gunned it to Everfall and ended up with the litte rich kid as my lover, didn't care and killed the dragon. Now it's the grind to 100 and I can finally stop playing assassin.
I played this on PS3 and the best memory I have of it is when I grabbed that girl that I guess nurtured you and tossed her off the cliff and watched her go SPLAT at the beach below. I thought "Hm. I wonder if I fucked up?" and then got immensely confused when she was okay in a quest shortly after.
Daimon took me 2 tries and 1 wakestone. Also his instakill black hole move is not fun at all. I now clearly understand why people cheese him.
Oh god damnit, I updated my video drivers and now there's graphical glitches everywhere.
Oh god damnit, I updated my video drivers and now there's graphical glitches everywhere.
I updated yesterday (DDU and everything) and I actually spontaneously restarted several times, and it isn't the temps Might have to rollback. You Nvidia as well?

Ricochet Hunter made the Quarry a breeze even at a lower level and accidentally aggroing two Ogres and a Sixfold Bolt to the face and Hunter's Bolt hitting all the squishy bits tears apart anything like Cyclopes and Griffons with lots of lock-on points.
Game gets spoiled a bit when you figure out the ways to cheese enemies, especially using special arrows I try not to use them but it gets hard not to when the game continuously throws at me enemies that take 20 minutes to kill and can one shot me
Retried the game after a while and now there's no graphical glitches, great stuff. Also I completed the ending a second time, [sp]I miss Savan and Salde, got two really ugly wizards instead and well it's not the same.[/sp] [editline]23rd January 2016[/editline] It pains me to think that something like that can just ruin my enjoyment about the ending. [sp]and I doubt that playing offline will fix much either, because my characters are usually the exact same as they were back then, and I'd rather fight something other than a copy of myself.[/sp]

Could anyone give me some tips on which augments I should use on Mystic knight? I got most vocations on a high level already, but cannot decide on just so few to be active.
trying to contribute to ur dragon now that ive hit the ever fall (not turning in wake stones yet because that probably advances something) my pawns are getting one shot and when i jump off to rez them i get one shot wew [editline]a[/editline] [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/365157185056792412/01AF1D7104989B8D27391DB1B213A739D2E9E3E7/?interpolation=lanczos-none&output-format=jpeg&output-quality=95&fit=inside|1024:576&composite-to=*,*|1024:576&background-color=black[/t] guess whos top rated this month
How long do you guys stick with vocations for? Is there any point in staying on a Vocation after you max its rank?
stat growths? maybe read the op post about how different vocations give different stats at level up? i.e ranger has most stamina per level from levels 10-100, or assassin has most strength per level 10-100
How long do you guys stick with vocations for? Is there any point in staying on a Vocation after you max its rank?
I generally stay as the vocation I want to use, I do use other ones to unlock augments with tho.
Play the game how you want. In the end, weapons and gear account for 70% of your character's effectiveness, and 30% their build. And of that 30%, the difference between an optimal and an unoptimal build is like 20%. So it's pretty miniscule (6% difference?). I'm going to have end up having played every vocation apart from mage and ranger probably
Tip for those that hate escort quests. Place a port crystal at the end destination beforehand. Then accept the quest and use the infinite ferry stone to warp back and forth instantly completing the quest. Blood water beach in particular has 6 escort quests headed there from gran soren. (PS in the end I decided to just play the game normally).
[vid]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7939899/Images/gifs/Dragon%27s%20Dogma/fuckthisshit.webm[/vid] Goddamn I've been spending an hour trying to kill this thing as a non-maxed assassin and with a friends lower level fighter pawn. I've spent three wakestones, but at least the rusted sword helps slowing it down a lot. [editline]23rd January 2016[/editline] Damn, I had no more wakestones and died during the last health bar.
Use a rusted bow (preferably 3 star upgraded or silver) and stunlock him with hundred kisses. i don't actually know if swords have an ability equal to hundred kisses though he's easily shot down with a few arrows in the face/heart even with a rusted bow
mighty bend in face and kill?? not difficult
i find the cursed dragon to be the easiest of all dragons in BBI actually strange because the game tries so hard to convey him (any spawn like him for that matter) as super spooky and dangerous with the music and all spell casting dragons though, fuck that shit :suicide:
yo fuck the arch hydra
thunderwyvern is probably easiest because it doesnt do fucking shit. seriously, it might be the most passive dragon in the game
What the fuck, what, why, why did [sp] Caxton [/sp] become my bitch? I thought I had max affinity with [sp] Selene or the Duchess, or Madeleine or even the chick that sells herbs, but really? Caxton? Did it pick him because I sold my stuff right before going for the "the last battle" quest? :v: [/sp]
probably cause he has max affinity and you spoke to him last.
magic archer can cheese basically every dragon in the game because sixfold bolt can hit hearts on the chest AND back, so you can get it in a loop where it flies in the air, then you shoot it, it falls, you slap the heart around, it gets back up, and then you repeat
Got the dragon on the second attempt with more pawns around my own level. Screw sorcerer's Maelstrom spell, can't see anything while climbing something with that around.
Use a rusted bow (preferably 3 star upgraded or silver) and stunlock him with hundred kisses. i don't actually know if swords have an ability equal to hundred kisses though he's easily shot down with a few arrows in the face/heart even with a rusted bow
Yeah I should probably get a rusted bow. It's a lot more fun to climb up the dragon's tail while it's hovering above and try to bring it down that way. Also I completely forgot about the ability to use kisses while climbing though. :downs: The reason I was using a rusted sword though is because a friend of mine has his pawn wielding a rusted sword at all times, so I figured I would try and upgrade one beyond dragon forged and give it to him, but it seems I've got to kill more cursed dragons to get enough horns for that. But man, Assassin feels so limiting without the Skull Splitter.

The warrior overhead abilities are so fucking juicy, getting a drake into a stunlock cycle is both incredibly fun and incredibly rewarding.
