Its still stupid cheap at times though. Fighting 3 greater wyrmkin with their skill stifling and pawn insta-kill shouts is such bullshit God help you if they spam it too :why:
They only roar when you break horns (hitting the top of the head) You can't stop your damn pawns doing it, but you can avoid it yourself.
In my opinion ALL of the pawn killing moves are stupid. Like I'm fine with one-shot KO's, but is a dragon going "oogie boogie" at me really enough to kill my party?
At least it's not as bad as enemies who completely wipe your pawns from existence so you can't even rez them. Spectres and Death are the fucking worst, either my pawns get taken away because I wasn't fast enough to interrupt the move, or in Death's case he just shines his dumb lantern and they disappear.
To be honest a LOT of your damage is gonna come from the weapons you're using. If you're feeling like your not doing enough damage, look into upgrading them or trying to get yourself a replacement. Also see if what you're fighting has a special elemental resistance or weakness to fight against them. I did switch to warrior for a bit after mostly being a Assassin/Magic Knight that Warrior seemed to be underpowered.
Then it seems like Dragon's Quickening M.Bow is too low for BBI. Grigori/Ur, here I come.

Death's only instakill move is his scythe slash (because, you know, he's Death). The lantern shining just lets you know he's about to use it.

If nobody noteworthy gets hit, he doesn't scythe. It's got always the same arc anyway and right behind him there is a safe spot.

The lantern shining just lets you know he's about to use it.
That's not the important bit, the important bit is he has a move that can instantly kill all my pawns who are too stupid to get out of the way. He always did the light shining before the slash so I thought it was the same move.
Is there some trick for a sorcerer to fight things normally without getting 1 shot? I've either been cheesing enemies like elder trolls or eliminators simply because I get one shot if I even think about casting near them. Even when I cancel spells to jump out of attacks i'll still die. I recently found the tenacity scroll, so should I use that augment for BBI?

It also helps if you have some spells that don't take long to cast, like high ingle.
Hire MKs and Asses, be very very far away while you're screaming KALIIII MAAAAAA SHAKTI DEEEEEEE
[sp]pawns can't be hybrid vocations though[/sp]
That's right, well just hire stabby guys and do the same One shooty, two stabby, run and throw stuff at a distance
I was so fucking terrible at this game I loved it but lord above i was so fucking shit at it when you get your other pawns for the first time after creating your own personal one I wasn't connected to the internet so i picked two offline ones, some archer and a fighter I didn't know that you could change them. I was fighting the fucking purple eye monster in the huge spiral dungeon below the city (I forget it's name with lvl 1 pawns but it gets worse, i would give them Armour and weapons and items thinking it would help them stay alive longer (it didn't) but i ignored the warning that these items would be un-recoverable once gifted but even worse than all this, i was playing as the basic fighter (the one you start off as when you first pick your class) I never re-spec'd me or my pawns I stayed as the maxed out basic fighter for the entire game do you have any idea how fucking long it took to beat a dragon? not the Ur dragon, not the boss, just that normal dragon near the coast. it took 23 ingame days on my second attempt. I counted them. Luckily my second play-through was much better.

All vocations are totally viable, and fighter is absolutely awesome, perfect blocks and fun sword skills make for a quite versatile class with very respectable damage.

Compass and Moon slashes are pretty awesome, especially on iframes.

Seriously, I LOVE that double jump that class has.
Who ever thought fighting 3 of these + a flying lich would be fun. Fuck you. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/353898826883716586/B558BB948DCFF30069346484706CEECDE4D231B2/[/t]
I killed a piñata shaped like a Drake and it gave me 4 Drake's Tears at once. While I already had one with me, plus had one in storage. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/360654226317401976/482DA643DCA4517015B9F32AFBFE3AD3F67178B8/[/t] Do dragon tears even stack with each other? I managed to get a Wyvern's Tear some minutes ago, which makes me want to try my luck in getting a Wyrm's Tear next. Edit: Just got the Wyrm's Tear, officially got a full crying dragon collection.
Who ever thought fighting 3 of these + a flying lich would be fun. Fuck you.
You gonna love the Forgotten Hall. [sp]<3[/sp]
You gonna love the Forgotten Hall. [sp]<3[/sp]
Gotta say this hall was a breeze, dodged a bullet since [sp]one of the mages cast high maelstrom just before I entered that room, so I waited outside. Then of course the pawns going apeshit because of the chained cycloses.[/sp] Mission status right now: Spoiler image! Funny enough, topor works on him. It was kind of hilarious to see his homing leap at people in slowmo.
FYI, the patch fixed the madking's belt crash and some audio bugs. Also increase the sound for the voices.
I mained Fighter until i learned the glory that is Assassin. Seriously, I LOVE that double jump that class has.
Don't forget Assassin skills like "Masterful Kill" [t]http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e329/Chaos_Shadow2237/Dragons%20Dogma/PC%20Version/2016-01-27_00030.jpg~original[/t] I fucking love this move. Its so goddamn satisfying to counterattack by jumping onto your enemy and slashing their necks off
Audio is definitely better in the new patch, but still a touch too quiet I feel. Maybe it's to do with my particular sound setup (Amp/DAC instead of onboard/dedicated sound card). No idea.
neat, they fixed the vsync bug as well edit: nope, still fucked up eh whatevs
What vsync bug?
The rank 9 augment for reduced casting time and wyrmking's ring helps a lot. High miasma is my go to spell if I need some quick damage. It's got really fast casting time for some pretty decent damage.
I've found myself defaulting to high brontide for a quick cast good damage skill. It absolutely decimates Cyclops through their armor.

Strider's (Maybe other classes idk) passive thing for being lighter is so sexy
Strider's (Maybe other classes idk) passive thing for being lighter is so sexy
Sinew, rank 5 fighter augment Pretty much compulsory if you want to play a heavy/medium armour vocation or be lazy and not have your pawn carry all your shit edit: actually strider gets a rank 9 aug that makes them move effectively one weight class lighter, didn't notice
Jesus christ guys, if you make a mage or sorcerer pawn please put the augment that makes them cast quicker. I can't stand hiring a good mage/sorc and then realizing that they cast slow as shit.
So I decided to kill Daimon again but this time without cheesy stuff. Cleared everything with unbelievable ease. Even forgotten city was a cake walk. Daimon v1 also died pretty quick. But then... [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/541924111321349619/B03944B7516318251E5D1ADBDFFF5DBFAD3AE30B/[/t] I did no damage to him. Not even with melee. And he wiped us with his supernova hoover.
