Is it safe to swap save files? I was thinking starting over but keeping a backup of my current character just in case I want to go back.
Exploring BBI for the first time, did I stumble into a Souls game by accident? Also, what's a useful element to have in there?
Exploring BBI for the first time, did I stumble into a Souls game by accident? Also, what's a useful element to have in there?
Holy and Lightning are generally the most effective in BBI

Also killing cursed dragons as an MK got even more piss easy than cheesing them with focused holy bolts, perilious sigil direcly under it almost always knocks it over if it hits the heart and legs, and stone forest is just a long enough cast to get off before it gets back up, does like 2-3'ish bars at medium range.
Pioneer as a primary is shit, but as a secondary it is useful for tanks. HOW useful is of some question. I'm still playing with it. Scather/challenger is overused and boring. I can handle the ranged units, but I need that fighter out in front finding the meanest thing and keeping its attention.
Unfortunately tanks are difficult to set up because the inclinations you should be using have a bunch of quirks that are difficult to ignore in certain situations, but I suggest experimenting with nexus/guardian and see what works for you. That combination means a fighter pawn will keep using shield drum until it has aggroed every enemy Though you want to avoid guardian like the plague if your arisen is a ranged class It's also worth noting that more skills isn't necessarily better. If you want a pawn to use a certain skill more often, consider keeping other skill slots blank

Utilitarian will make Fighters use shield drum more often. Nexus makes pawns bring defeated pawns over to you and Guardian makes them stick close to you which defeats the purpose of a tank if they're dragging all the mobs to you.

Double fighter set up kicks ass, but otherwise yeah guardian you definitely want to avoid Utilitarian also randomly decides to grapple enemies in the middle of a fight instead of getting aggro The point is I don't know what he's looking for exactly so that's why you need to experiment what works for you. The only inclination that's 100% bad is acquisitor
So someone I know just bought the game. They made their pawn and logged off. In one day their pawn went to the 35,000s and my pawn is at 41,000s. :suicide:

Insane timing.
I'm level 160 and I keep finding pawns with gold dragonforged equipment and no skills set up How does that even happen
I'm level 160 and I keep finding pawns with gold dragonforged equipment and no skills set up How does that even happen
Could be hacked pawns. Be careful, it's been reported that they have the potential to corrupt your saves.

Also watch out for pawns with 100% everything but ~20h of playtime.
I just remembered the Wrymking ring quest. [sp]Is Salomet seriously supposed to fall off the fucking cliff? Like I don't recall him ever coming back but I have missed some quests on the first playthrough.[/sp]
Is there a way to make all pawns and followers stay in place until you call them again? I found some kind of temple with a bunch of narrow pathways surrounded by water, and my pawns and someone I'm escorting keep fucking jumping into the water and dying instantly, failing the quest :v:

She'll grab aggro and then weather the storm like a boss. Still playing with it though. Her general lack climbing on large enemies is something of a problem, but she tanks their attacks fairly well. I think I do need to strip down the shield category though because she doesn't shield summon enough.
It'd be grand if you could just set priority on skills, for example by having them in certain slots.
Escort NPCs teleport with you when you use ferrystones, so if you have portcrystals set up in places you go to often it makes them incredibly easy. The Shadow Fort is a good place to have one for this reason.
I didn't know this, so this is very welcome news to me. Thanks, bub!
I personally don't bother with escort quests. The time-to-reward rate isn't worth it, and they just feel like a chore, in my opinion of course.
Escort quest brings you the the deepest nook of the game landscape that you will normally miss. Those graves at the end of the maps, that hidden beach, its like a guided tour of Gransys [editline]30th January 2016[/editline] Also how do you kill an Eliminator? I kill dragons for pelts, and raise the dead in my spare time, but Eliminators make me run like sissy

Those graves at the end of the maps, that hidden beach, its like a guided tour of Gransys
Oh, don't worry about me missing out on anything in the world. When it comes to exploring, I will literally explore every nook and cranny a game has to offer. This game really feels like you're on an adventure and it's really refreshing to just be able to skip off and do whatever you want if you get tired of questing.
Also how do you kill an Eliminator? I kill dragons for pelts, and raise the dead in my spare time, but Eliminators make me run like sissy
Petrifying arrows, torpor or ice affinity work best
I personally don't bother with escort quests. The time-to-reward rate isn't worth it, and they just feel like a chore, in my opinion of course. I found this kawaii motherfucker while searching for Fighter pawns. As a magick archer I can just spam my explosive arrows into both eliminators and living armor and watch them go soaring once I detonate them.
My warrior pawn has Arc of Deliverance, War Cry, and Pommel Bash. Should I switch anything out?
My warrior pawn has Arc of Deliverance, War Cry, and Pommel Bash. Should I switch anything out?
Remove Arc of Deliverance, pawns don't know how to use charged melee attacks.
My warrior pawn has Arc of Deliverance, War Cry, and Pommel Bash. Should I switch anything out?
Change arc of deliverance to the evade attack. As Linda said, pawns don't know how to use charge attacks.
Huh. That's the one I thought people would want me to keep the most. It is useful every once in a while when fighting bosses, when they take off a bar or two all at once, but they'll also waste time trying to use it on common enemies. I'll try the evade and see how that goes.
5/6 of them gave 3 stars. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/541924293710575534/C18B8FA6031CEC88A768A194DE91E152C6FCD11C/[/t] But yeah, how is the RC gained calculated?
Roughly 10% of XP earned. They get a penalty up to 25% less if they're under leveled and up to 25% more if they're over leveled. Also the 3/5 is the automatic response if the Pawn dies and returns to the rift.
5/6 of them gave 3 stars. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/541924293710575534/C18B8FA6031CEC88A768A194DE91E152C6FCD11C/[/t] But yeah, how is the RC gained calculated?
Fairly sure it's equivalent to the XP they would have gained in that party.
I'm hitting the 180 mark on my pawn and myself. Will people still hire or at this point everyone's pretty much done the endgame stuff? I still need rift crystals because I intend to hoard every single piece of equipment.
What vocation is your pawn? I can hire him/her if you want.
