Are you playing on normal or hard?
Why would I play on hard? All it does is increase enemy damage and multiply XP/DP by 4. The game wasn't balanced around hard mode and BBI even less so.
I'm p. sure hard mode doesn't effect BBI.
I'm p. sure hard mode doesn't effect BBI.
Oh, it doesn't? Huh. Well, to answer your question Janus, personally I like playing on hard because gold is never an issue and it's nice to level fast. But you're definitely right, it's not balanced or the "right" way to play or anything.
I'm p. sure hard mode doesn't effect BBI.
Completely and utterly wrong.
Fighting a Condemned Gorecyclops in Hard mode 2-3 shots me, while on normal and below it's a whole lot more hits, and that's before I got better armor.
I just bought this game out of interest, and right off the bat the controls don't work. I'm trying to use an Xbox 360 controller, but any kind of input just causes it to revert back to a previous input. Like, if I'm in a menu and I scroll to a different part of the menu, it just goes back to the one that it defaulted to. Disconnecting the controller and using a keyboard doesn't fix this, as it's the same with the keyboard. Is there a fix for this or is this just part of a shitty port? I have zero opinion on this game and no knowledge of it otherwise, I simply saw that it had very positive reviews on Steam and decided to give it a try. Not a good way to start out.
I decided to backup my first file and start over anew now that I understand how the game works.
Went with a very short Strider called the Wanderer and a gentle giant Fighter named the Towering (Towering Toots if we go with his Moniker).

Should note that I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers for the Xbox controller and nothing has changed. I can't even play the game because the menu doesn't even allow me to select any of the options. Keyboard and mouse do not work either.
What do you mean? Like if you use the 360 controller it shows the keyboard inputs? 100% sure your mouse is fucked up. If the computer thinks your mouse is moving it's gonna keep reverting back to KB + M tooltips.

Or do you mean that it's just not accepting your devices?

I have no idea. I'd like to use keyboard and mouse, but I can't. I don't even have a controller plugged in but it doesn't recognize my kb+m inputs. It will for a split second, but then revert back to controller inputs, and vice versa when I try to use the controller. I can't get out of the menu.
That's an odd bug? Do you have your controller plugged in when it reverts to controller inputs?

No. I have tried using only keyboard and mouse, same thing. I have tried unplugging my keyboard and mouse and using only controller, same shit. I managed to spam enough buttons to get into the options menu and it says i'm using a vJoy device. I have no idea what that is. I don't have a joystick plugged in anywhere, if that's what the game thinks. I'll probably just reinstall and see if that fixes it. If not, getting a refund, I have dealt with too many crappy ports.
It could be the controller drivers you're using are fucked up. I've had that happen to me before I switched to xinput wrapper for PS3 controllers. Not sure about 360 controller software.
What I wound up having to do was open up device manager, go View>Devices By Connection and just disable "vJoy Device" entirely.
The port is excellent and I think that you're jumping to conclusions a little too quick here. I don't know how you've ended up with the vJoy drivers installed if you're saying you've never seen them before, but those seem to be the cause of many similar problems according to the Steam forums.
Is there a way to actually create a full party on your own
I am debating buying the PC version but wish to actually have control over them without ending up crippling my team
I killed [sp]Grigori[/sp] and I got to admit, [sp]post-game is pretty intense.[/sp] I ended up in a room in the [sp]Everfall where I fought a Gorechimera, a regular Chimera and a Lich at the same time.[/sp] I have never felt so achieved beating anything like that in any game for forever.
Really getting into this game now.
I also bought the Secret of Metamorphosis, and updated my Arisen and Pawn a bit. Decided to slightly age my Arisen to give the illusion that time have passed, and I'm really happy with both of them.
Left is before, right after I changed using the Art of Metamorphosis. Right is how they look now.

I swear I did the same on the PS3 version, 1st playthrough, Easy Difficulty, 2nd playthrough, Normal Difficulty, and while there might not be any point in starting New Game+, I actually didn't realise that giving Saxton or Madeleine a Gold Idol Forgery actually fails to get their better gear, you have to give one or the other the real one and keep the Forgery for yourself as that still gives you the discount, then give the other a Silver Idol instead.

Well if you're such a competitive player then you can play with no pawns at all.

You can give the idol to 1 of them on your first playthrough and then the idol to the other on your 2nd playthrough and they will keep their stocks. As long as you completed the quest at least once on one of your playthroughs their stock will stay updated.

What? :v:
I just mean that i heard somewhere that it can be done with multiple saves or something, but without playing the game with other pawns they won't stay levelled
I just want to remember the good old classic RPG feel of being in full control of your party
[editline]1st February 2016[/editline]
Note: I know barely anything of this game except for a video of some guy making two ugly characters and barely anything else
It's not even for gameplay purposes really
I make it a running trend to create characters of my friends whenever i have the ability to
I guess this game is put a bit lower on the priority list then
What even is the way that pawns increase their skills and such, by which i mean pawns you recruit from others

There isn't, you just trade them out every few levels.

Main pawns level up with their creator. Pawns you hire won't level up and you can't change their skills. If their creator has played more since you last hired their pawn, you can re-hire the pawn and it'll be updated with a higher level.
Is the game ends at reaching lvl200 and being able to farm Daimon with ease?
Is the game ends at reaching lvl200 and being able to farm Daimon with ease?
Sort of. Once you're done farming, go kill online ur-dragon with a min-maxed build with the best gear I suppose. See how much you can contribute to taking it down.
I think someone just tried to gift me more than 10 items at once. I got my pawn back with 0 RC, no gifts and a 3/3/3 rating.

That's just what happens when the pawn dies/falls of a cliff and the lender (is that the right term?) cannot return the pawn via riftstone

even with 0RC? I thought deaths still gave you rc
So after fucking around in post-game I decided to finally finish the story.
I'm a little bitter right now.
What's up with affinity gains in NG+? I did Madeleine's quest and suddenly she's maxed out. I talk to the guy who gives the wyrm hunt quests twice and suddenly he's crushing on me.

Affinity carries over from NG, so if their affinity was already high you can max it out very quickly.
