What the fuck even happened with Ur-Dragon just now.
Gen37 graced, then Gen38 almost immediately graced. While trying to get into Gen39's immediate grace, I started fighting an immortal Gen40 (no health & 1 heart but wouldn't die). Came back to Gen39's grace. Left and came back to fight the immortal Gen40 again, now labeled Gen41. Came back, fought Gen42 until it flew away. Came back to Gen 40's grace. What?

use the extension auto refresh plus, open the page for the current gen in the Dragon's Dogma Discussions > Online Ur Dragon Sighting, set the post limit to 50, then in auto refresh plus set the Page Monitor text to #grace and then turn it on.
everyone who's read the steam guide does this so whenever it hits grace people will start posting #grace and an alert will go off in your browser to tell you
Not really. Imagine if Mage and Sorcerer could only use 3 skills, it would suck, they would be completely worthless.
Warrior on the other hand is all about offense, having 6 ridiculous offensive skills would make them insane.
I just find it a bit inconsistent in terms of design choices. I know they are meant to be tanks and aggro monsters to themselves while staggering and downing them but since they go all out, I'd imagine that a class like that would be quite vicious.
Seeing how it's a slow class with massive openings after its attacks and it doesn't have as many options has the others, you'd think giving it more tools to work with would actually help it.
But my thought was mostly about the inconsistency between Sorcerer and Warrior and their single weapon. I'll pick it up again to play more. Last time, I think it was my team's synergy that didn't go well with Warrior.
worst part is that gen 37 lasted awhile but its grace was less than 3 minutes. i doubt most contributors even got their loot

I KNOW I DIDNT
My main issue with the warrior is how slow the swinging animation is. Once you initiate the swing, you're locked in place, and one of three things will happen;
a) your ranged/magic pawn will kill the enemy before your sword actually reaches them
b) they'll casually walk outside your effective radius (strider bandits love to do this)
c) the stars align and the enemy actually stays put long enough for you to connect
Obviously I'm being hyperbolic, but I found myself using the warrior's jumping light the most often because it was fast, had a great hitbox and it was reliable. Just jumping and swinging repeatedly. When I felt like staying on the ground? I'd use the exodus slash, because the opening move is much faster than the default swing. So what should swinging a giant ass sword feel like?
I've been reading Berserk again so I'm going to reference it here;

FUCK YEAH holy shit now I want to play warrior except it's nothing like this. When you swing your sword ingame enemies should get inflicted with both torpor and petrification as the giant slab of metal you call your sword bears down on them
[editline]4th February 2016[/editline]
I'd probably just change the opening attack to be faster but not as damaging, then follow up attacks would be more likely to connect due to hitstun. Also make default attacks actually use stamina as a tradeoff for them being fucking awesome.
Maybe change arc of obliteration so that you activate it and it charges as normal, but you can move normally. When you activate it however, you are vulnerable for a while afterwards. Then it wouldn't be an "only use this attack when the enemy is lying on the ground and imminent triumph is playing" attack anymore (exaggerating again)

Pommel bash, air light attack or bait them until you can use escape slash then it's stunlock heaven. Really your best bet is to have a fighter with only 3 skills tops, primary one being shield summons so you can just wait for enemies to bumrush them.
In an ideal world, someone would hand them the Berserk license and let them do a fully fledged black swordsman game. Would've been nice since the anime is starting again.

I fucking hate Death, good god.
After going through a room with a Metal Golem, a Strigoi, more Succubi than I can count and more Giant Skeletons than I can count too, that flying faggot comes in and kills all of my pawns in one swing, then me in another.
Doesn't help the fact I do virtually no damage to him.
The fuck is with these ur dragons. Lasting ages and then like 5 dying super fast in a row. And I've missed all but one grace period.

Warrior is my favourite class and I've not found this to be a problem at all because of the huge ass range you get & the chain attacks being pretty fast. Only problem I've had is with the wolf enemies.
And of course I miss all of those Ur Dragons while I'm away.

Sick. Actually never seen the movies or any of the animated works, should get on that

As I said, I was exaggerating really. Still, misses happened all too frequently
I just find it weird that with every other class I was jumping around, using various moves and having fun but with warrior I had to really think about what move would actually work, which I found really limiting. Let alone the 3 skill limit
To really hammer in the berserk love for warrior they should have just made some form of a cannon arm for the secondary weapon. It could be really powerful, but would also damage the user due to the insane knockback.
Just killed my first [sp]Drake, near the Shadow Fort[/sp]
[sp]THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME[/sp]

Oh please don't tell me the anime is going to be using the whole 3D model crap? There's very few anime that do that right and it still looks off.
I really need to watch Berserk. Since I was a little kid I've always been into characters with big ass swords, Nightmare in Soulcalibur probably being my biggest influence (specifically the Siegfried alt costume from Soul Calibur 2). Anytime I could make my character in any fantasy RPG its always been a warrior type using a greatsword. Berserk looks like its everything I like in one anime.
Fashion advice time, agree for left, disagree for right.

No indication yet but assuming there will be more traditional. The movies had bad reception towards the 3d stuff so no chance they'll overuse it again.
I was fighting a lich in BBI when 3 garm suddenly appeared. I thought I was screwed. My pawns have a hard enough time realizing "hey, master's getting dragged away. Maybe we should save them?" with just 1, who knows how 3 would end up.
A few seconds later, I remembered: "oh yeah. I'm still in an enclosed space."
Thank you, ricochet hunter. :magic101:
we're not talking about effectiveness whatsoever we're talking about fun

You haven't lived until you've stunlocked a cursed dragon as warrior in a party of 4 warriors.

i remember my first fight with that guy went on for over 30 minutes because I was undergeared.
So fucking awesome, I love that guy.
[sp]the BBI firedrakes can fuck off though[/sp]
the wiki says there's a wyvern and wyrm combo as one of the spawns in rotunda of dread
I think they're lying
I went in and out and in and out and in and out and in and out and in and out and in and out and in and out and in and out and so on probably 100 times and saw every spawn combination EXCEPT the one with the wyvern
of course, I killed the one in bluemoon tower already, and someone decided it was a good idea to make that take nearly a month ingame to respawn
and the one on conquest road dived straight into the goddamn ocean right as it saw me and never respawned

You must be unlucky because I did get the Wyvern Wyrm combo and it fucking sucks. I also had Wyvern Wyvern combo and a Wyrm Wyrm combo.
How long does it take for post-Daimon dragons to respawn? I need some Firedrake and Thunderwyvern (mostly the latter) parts to rarify my weapons, and the wiki says they both spawn at the Duskmoon Tower so I could just farm them there.
Dev1: Hey you know that thing that everyone hates?
Dev2: You mean the pawn-instakill scream that all wurms can do?
Dev1: Yeah that! Let's kick it up a notch and make an enemy that can pawn-permakill with no way to save them!
Dev2: Great idea!
Nothing is more frustrating than the dragon scream and deaths scythe.
I think the Dragon's scream gets me the most. It's not even like it's a huge setback, it's just a minor annoyance. Why even have it, why does it work at any range, why do the smaller wyrms have it too, etc.

Not defending the attack but the lore reason all dragons have it is (END GAME SPOILERS) [sp]all dragons are arisen who failed to defeat the seneschal and were turned into dragons as punishment, so they can still control pawns to certain extents[/sp].
Yeah which is why they can [sp]possess[/sp] them as well, but it doesn't make it less of a shitty inconvenience :v:
I finally got that wyvern. Had to bring the fiend-luring essence, though.
I know the easiest way to farm vocation ranks is to go to [sp]the noble quarter post-dragon[/sp] and let your pawns kill [sp]the guards[/sp] while you climb on top of something then afk, but the vocation I'm ranking up is the mystic knight. And the [sp]guards[/sp] all die in one hit from hitting an enchanted shield, even at the lowest rank. So I'm having too much fun thinking [sp]"self defense, self defense, self defense, I'm still completely innocent in a proper court of law"[/sp]
Edit: you know what's really fast?
Ruinous sigil at their spawn point, then pointing the camera away.
Make sure to wear the Asura Armor for extra discipline points to spend once you're done farming.

Seriously it's like a 30% boost and you just need to kill 7 Geos for the board quest to get it, it'd be foolish not to pick it up.
This vocation "exploit" can be done only post-dragon right?
Is also the only time you can get those Royal Banner type items right?
