Looks like ENB to me. I've seen some gross shots with it on, though. It's hit or miss.
The shot on the right isn't particularly flattering if that's on ENB. Might be just the preset but uh.. I'll stick with SweetFX for now, ENB loves having DoF in everything and it's sort of annoying. (I know you can turn it down/off)
I wish I wasn't at work right now :frown:
Yes! This looks incredible, what res are you playing at?
They're not mine, I honestly wouldn't have the blacks like that if it were me, nor would there be much DoF. I found them on the ENBollocks forum, nice to see ENB is an option.
Noticed the OP doesn't mention pawn inclinations either, so I might as well go over that just before the game comes out; Your pawn's behaviour is determined by the answers you give to the questions posed to you after their creation (a little after the start of the game, after one of the first quests) and after that point, the pawn will 'learn' from you, e.g. when you use healing/stamina items, and what commands you give them on the d-pad (for example, spamming Come (dpad down) increases Guardian. All commands have an effect on inclination, some even differing inside and outside of combat. More info here Essentially Guardian and Nexus are the worst inclinations. Nexus causes your pawns to stick close together, when ideally you want your melee up front and your ranged/magick at the back. Guardian is even worse, your pawn will basically stand idle, not attacking until you are attacked. So the solution is to answer the questions correctly to get the preferred primary and secondary (and a hidden tertiary) inclinations to be the highest. You can check your pawn's inclination at any time using the status menu This is a good reddit post for a more in depth explanation Pawn inclinations are important because other players can hire your pawns, and your pawn won't get hired unless it has inclinations that suit its vocation. Otherwise just have fun playing, there's not much else to keep in mind (inclinations can even be changed later with potions, so it's not even that essential to know this)
Do I have to baby sit my pawns during combat, manually healing them and getting them back up when they are knocked down and all that stuff?
If they have healing items in their inventory, they'll do that themselves. Pretty sure you have to pick them up when they're knocked out though.
Do I have to baby sit my pawns during combat, manually healing them and getting them back up when they are knocked down and all that stuff?
Yes if you are fighting difficult enemies or haven't got the right inclinations. So far I have had to do that very rarely, but as long as you have the right mix of pawns (i.e. I have a main pawn mage, so I usually go with a strider/ranger and a fighter/warrior) the party should clean up enemies pretty nice. Your main pawn will get the same exp as you and level up but hired pawns will not, so you should swap them out every few levels. Bonus tip - every pawn you decide to include in your party will decrease exp gain by 25%. However, a lower-leveled pawn causes the Arisen and main pawn to gain XP at a higher rate. This is capped at 25%, which corresponds to 25 levels above or below the character receiving XP. (link for info) You can't make pawns heal themselves directly (like through the inventory) and I haven't quite figured out how to make them more independent with healing. Thankfully I've got a healing based mage as my pawn. If a pawn goes down you just need to sprint over and press one button and they'll be back up with 50% HP. It's actually pretty funny to rush around in a difficult fight keeping your pawns upright edit: Apparently if your pawn has medicant high up enough in their inclination hierarchy (maybe not primary though) they'll pay more attention to their health and the health of others. A quick tip about the inclination potions - you can get them from a guy in the Encampment and to use them, you would consume the desired secondary inclination first, then the primary (or tertiary, then secondary, then primary.) So if you wanted a pawn with Utilitarian/Medicant, you would consume the Medicant potions first and then more Utilitarian potions. All inclinations are balanced with each other basically edit2: A good link for troubleshooting inclinations as well, very in depth, learnt a few things just now by reading it
restart steam, it's out now
Have fun guys !
See you in Gransys. And remember, wolves hunt in packs
Can the dualshock4 be used to play this game? I really want to play it. Pretty hyped
Unpacking boyssss
Can the dualshock4 be used to play this game? I really want to play it. Pretty hyped
You can play any game with the Dualshock 4.
You can play any game with the Dualshock 4.
Keyboard emulation doesn't count
So uh, no way to transfer save files from leaked version to legit? I was afraid there wouldn't be. Oh well.
Lmao leaked saves won't transfer FUCK
apparently its not possible
Oh well, least now there's a chance to get everything right first time Might play on hard mode (2x exp) with just my main pawn to level quicker edit: seems like switching from easy/normal to hard will reset the game, but you can switch from hard mode at any time. Works for me
Since i'm new to this game, is warrior good for a beginner? Especially paired with sorcerer or archer pawn, not sure which one to choose, but sorcerer maybe?
has anyone else got a problem with it being really quiet? [editline]15th January 2016[/editline]
Since i'm new to this game, is warrior good for a beginner? Especially paired with sorcerer or archer pawn, not sure which one to choose, but sorcerer maybe?
iirc you can change class at any time if you want
Since i'm new to this game, is warrior good for a beginner? Especially paired with sorcerer or archer pawn, not sure which one to choose, but sorcerer maybe?
Warrior, or fighter? Warriors are...interesting. People either love them or hate them. I personally love them. Try whatever you want, you can change your job at any time. They're not really tanks, though, so having a Fighter pawn is usually a decent idea, even if they're just a meatbag for enemies to kill before they come kill you.
iirc you can change class at any time if you want
Well, not until you get to the main city and even then you have to pay XP to unlock them.
Can i rename pawns? i want to call them after my friends' screen-names
oh neat I converted my save to a PC save urdragon time
I'm now having a problem with launching this game, the first launch was successful but i had to quit. Now i simply get
D3DERR_DEVICELOST : getDevice()->Reset(&d3dppm)
, even forcing the game to use dedicated GPU wont work nor restarting the system or validating. I may try to update the Nvidia GPU drivers, but im not sure if its gonna fix it. [editline]15th January 2016[/editline] nope, didn't fix it.
Is there censorship when naming your pawns? I'd hate to find 'Cum Slut' get censored.
same problem here, basically messing with resolutions and fullscreen/windowed will mess things up temporary solution is to delete config in appdata/local/capcom
For me it doesn't matter what i change, even if i don't change anything, it's kind of annoying going there and deleting the file launch after launch
oh neat I converted my save to a PC save urdragon time -snip-
That's pretty cool, it's been so long since I've been able to play my console saves tho I should probably restart. Wasn't like, at endgame anyhow
Is it just me or is the game itself not loud enough? Even with my computer's volume all the way up with headphones I can barely hear anything. Pretty sure it's something with the game because my speakers/headphones are working just fine.
A friend of mine keeps comparing this game to dark souls, for some reason. I've never heard of it, are they similar? :v:
holy SHIT on hard mode everything fucks you up I'M GETTING KILLED BY CAVE BATS
A friend of mine keeps comparing this game to dark souls, for some reason. I've never heard of it, are they similar? :v:
Really quite similar, but lacking Miyazaki's fantastical vision Lots of nice creatures to kill though. You should try it
