No. They aren't in the game files at all.

Between not being able to make them work, not being able to get techies items' to show up and various other things I can't get working I think I'm missing something.

(No matter what kind of game I'm in.) As for techies I couldn't even get their base model to show up in the loadout screen before the game starts so you've got one up on me there.

I'm not sure if you mean the main menu loadout or the ingame loadout. Edit: I got their base model to show up in both loadout sections, but cosmetics are still gone. Also, the last update apparently changed their model so that the base is just the two heads, while the bodies have been added to their clothes.
all who installed playable techies mod from Arktomys should delete it cuz it does not contains Earth Spirit and you will be unable to pick it in any game (correct me if I wrong) p.s. it's not funny at all
he's right it has been reported the techies mod fucks up your game in multiple ways you should probably delete it once you're done testing techies

But its easy to fix. I can make a fixed version of the document but i need to know if there are any more heroes missing.

The npc_heros file used in that mod could be just as outdated as the activelist so that could be causing problems as well. Seeing as that whole file was taken down though there's not much point in fixing it. It would be a whole lot easier to just make a new one from scratch or try the one [URL="http://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/29j5fm/how_to_play_techies_with_fixed_default_cosmetics/"]madman[/URL] made. That will at least get them in game without breaking stuff, although you probably shouldn't use the textures included with it due to the model update in the last patch. Not that anybody can seem to get the cosmetics working in the first place.

does anyone know how to edit lina's arcana materials? I'm trying to put the freckles from her original model on her arcana, but I can't find the file for some reason.

(damn that account is old) There were people who already done Arcana for default cosmetics. Problem was - Terrorblade's color couldn't be changed (I love champion blue) and Tiny got missing. Who wants a link, PM me.

Terrorblade would revert to the default gem colour as detailed in his vmt since whatever item you would replace it with wouldn't have an possible alternate value outside of said vmt. If you mean adding an entirely new arcana things get quite a bit more complicated. I remember when Dotafx asked me this. The answer was a resounding maybe. Mostly because -override_vpk keeps breaking a little more with each update. Random heroes from the pool will outright refuse custom particle effects and custom animations often extend and loop far beyond their intended duration. Oh and the game crashed often. It was not fun.

Tiny was added to the workshop. Should I actually go through the effort of making a mini update for the hd mod or should I wait until after the international is done?
I'd wait until Techies is released, that way you can just look at everything in one sitting.

It also puts emphasis on how he looks like a donkey kong character. the default one fits him better imo.
