It sucks but sadly whatever things that are put in to try and prevent people for being punished for games like this can easily be abused by others.
I remember how broken ranked was on launch...If all players on a team quit mid game then it would put 5 poor chumps into the match to replace them.
I had a game where 8 people got disconnected instantly so it was 2v2, me and the other guy won every round then when we were 1 away from winning the entire game both the enemies quit the match and the game dumped 5 random people in vs us 2 and we ended up losing the game.
Between that and no anticheat, getting inside walls bugs, bugs that let people get outside and spawn kill and unprotected spawns on some maps letting defenders instantly rush, a healthy dose of random disconnects and to top it all off sometimes losing like 2-3 ranks for a single loss, its safe to say I didn't play ranked for too long.
After that its not surprising they still label ranked in the menu as 'beta' despite the game being out for over a year now.

and I tried to show-off my sick skills and ended up nuking the hostage with C4 by accident

I just joined a match mid-round, had to wait for the round to end, then right as the prep phase began the server disconnected me and threw me back to the menu; right as I clicked the Play tab I got thrown back into the same match, this time during the final round. Am I just unlucky or is joining matches mid-round the norm now?
