Having fire mode select in this game is kinda weird to me, it's so pointless.
I used to use it all the time for my first few matches, wondering why I kept getting wasted in every engagement despite having good fire-control and aim. Then I realized I got killed because I had good fire-control and spent time aiming.
also i like this a lot
Tbh they should just add the ability to adjust the size/brightness/etc yourself instead of constantly dicking with the size themselves.

It's also where team Rainbow were stationed in the novel.
So after a long and somewhat heated discussion with a friend, we sort-of agreed that Tachanka will never be useful as long as he's restricted to a vulnerable turret. Ideas of full-body shields or remote-control turrets were flown around but neither of us could agree, mostly since my argument is Tachanka will never be viable as long as his counter is any operator with a gun. They countered by saying he would be too strong if he just got a full-body shield and relied on specific characters or bad positioning to counter him, which I can see the merit of. What does everyone think about the turret being removed and the DP-28 becoming a carried weapon / gadget? To use it you press the gadget key to take out the gun, which you can use similar to how it is now with heavy recoil. For more stability, press the gadget key near a surface to bipod Red Orchestra style, also allowing you to pack up simply by moving away.
Old Concept Art indicates this was once considered:

in the patch notes, what does this mean?
FIXED – It is possible to shoot Montagne's pistol with his shield extended while doing a specific action.

in the patch notes, what does this mean?
There was a bug where Montagne could fire his weapon while his shield was extended, which meant he could shoot people without being exposed at all.

The buff was fine, but the amount of recoil he got was unnecessary.
What are the chances of Galanos being a character for Year 3?
It'd be interesting to say the least to bring some older characters into the game, plus she's from Greece, a country not represented yet.
I know she's just an easter egg plus we already have a sniper character, but still.

im just waiting for ubisoft to add Third Echelon and have sam fisher as both the attacker and the defender
don't tom clancy games lowkey cross over anyway? i remember them making a reference to sam fisher in vegas 2
The buff was fine, but the amount of recoil he got was unnecessary.
The buff was okay, but not great. He'll never be viable when you can hard-counter him by just shooting, and you have the first-strike advantage and mobility advantage. The only way it could work is if he can use his turret without exposing himself to enemy fire, via full-body shield or remote control. Otherwise, having zero mobility while standing in the middle of the open is a death sentence.
here's hoping they add CIA-SAD or NSA-TE so they can add fisher
dunno how i'd feel about them adding a third american CTU but it'd be worth it for sam
I don't even know what would anyone's special ability from 3rd Echelon would be.
hopefully we will get custom crosshair color + size settings and maybe even be able to change the reticle color like BF4

this is honestly the only option to make him viable in higher ranked gameplay, because siege is just simply set up to be immobile= dead
We have identified an additional partial fix that was not flagged as included in patch 2.1.2 when writing the patch notes.
In the upcoming Mid-Season Reinforcements patch (2.1.2), we will be deploying a partial fix for Hibana's X-KAIROS Pellets not detonating. This partial fix has reduced the occurrence rate of this bug to very low, and while there still is a possibility of the bug occurring there is a larger fix coming to Hibana that will fully resolve the issue. We do not have an ETA for the larger fix. After patch Y2S1.2 we expect the issue to occur much less frequently, and we have only identified one instance where it is reproduced which occurs when rappelling and shooting quickly at the same time. We know this is not satisfactory, which is why we are determined to fully resolve this in an upcoming patch

change the reticle color like BF4
fucking WHAT
Another possible fix to make Tachanka useful would be to make the height of the turret adjustable. Being able to pop up and down from cover could help a whole lot when you're stuck being static anyway.
fucking WHAT
ya bf4 had an option so you could change any sights reticle color

It also lets you change the color of headshot and kill hitmarkers for more visibility. I mentioned this earlier as well, it'd help me a lot of i could adjust these things personally.

yeah i love those features, adds bit more clarity and queues for feedback, but since siege doesnt have seperate hitmarkers for headshots i didnt think of mentioning it
new strat:
Miras mirror is imo more effective on a normal wall than a reinforced one; being able to snipe people thorugh wall is much more efficient imo. Of course this comes with the danger that they can shoot back, and an experienced player will probably unload on a Mira panel they see on an unreinforced wall
BUT if you place down at least 1 deployable shield a tiny bit from the panel you can safely shoot through and stay protected.

Or better yet set up 1 reinforced wall and one that's not, and just quickly strafe in and out, ez.
Only downside is if you put it in an awkward place (plane cargo hold, secure area) you can get trapped between your mirror and a now wide open wall with no escape route.

Also a good way. Deployable shield just allows you to stay more directly behind it, but there are good applications to both.
In general, I want to say that honestly I consider Miras mirror more useful on a non-reinforced wall in most cases. Maybe people just aren't comfortable yet but I rarely see someone release a panel at the right moment (and I'm to blame for this as well, I constantly chicken too much)
Update is live
