Holy fuck i'm so fuckin bad at this game. I think i went 5 full games without getting a single kill. I'm always getting shot from behind. So i guess that tells me my positioning is awful but still. Also, why are shotguns so fuckin shit in this game?

Even the worst automatic spray pattern is about as lethal as a shotgun and far less punishing.
Eh, I like shotguns, nothing like one shotting fools before they can even react. Just don't try to use them beyond ~5m really.
They're really a kind of "play your role" thing. If you're a roamer on a really close range map or just camping by a door, they can be alright, but other guns are just better in most or every situation.
cuz it has some weird blue aura to it, same as the year 3 ops being greenish and the year 5 ops being this dark violet tinge
But Echo's portrait isn't even close to the same amount of blue. It's like for Hibana they put a layer of blue over the image and used a glow blending mode instead of an overlay one. Except for her face, which looks similar to all the other operators except in lower lighting thanks to the hood.

[editline]1st April 2017[/editline] The shots just seem to tickle people.
It can definitely be done, you just have to kinda know what you're doing. Play operators who have a secondary smg in case the situation doesn't allow for reliable shotgun usage. Or Jaeger.
Use the GSG9 shotguns. They are the only ones worth a damn.
GSG recruit with shotgun, run in like a maniac and hipfire defenders to death. Or if you want to be less useless, SAS shotgun is great too.
Neither are the SAS ops but they brightened their blue when Season 4 hit.
because of the uniform update, he only meant their portrait [editline]2nd April 2017[/editline]
But Echo's portrait isn't even close to the same amount of blue.
GSG recruit with shotgun, run in like a maniac and hipfire defenders to death. I have serious trust issues with that shotgun.
i never use shotguns after they nerfed the auto shotties
smg11 on point
While it certainly is a nice shot, I do believe the game runs on the 'if you aim down sights, your first round will go absolutely straight' principle. That, matched with headshots being instant-kills nicely explains this. Real good aim, tho.
I really fucking suck with anything that's not acog.
[vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/reyaam.webm[/vid] I love the explosion animations. [editline]3rd April 2017[/editline] kapkan fucking yeets outta there
Probably ran into the most toxic player in a while last night. I was the last player left on my team and this guy is just yelling at me like "what are you looking at? You're fucking useless. You're a bad player." Ignoring the fact that I was actually surrounded by the whole enemy team. Next round I pick Hibana and he doesn't just ask nicely for me to give him Hibana, he demands I give him Hibana and when I don't he starts a vote kick against me. What the fuck?

Another worse one was when, on bomb on Skyscraper, our Jackal decides to run to the opposite side of the map with the defuser and gets himself interrogated getting 2 of us killed. When I asked him why he'd go that far from objective with defuser he proceeded to vocally mimick me everytime I used voice chat like a child just enter kindergarten. It's rare you find scum on Siege tho. Rarely had any issues. Most people are cool.
[vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/mzphrj.webm[/vid] 556xi 2stronk
tryhardcoffee? I think we've played against each other recently, I recognize that name
I do believe the game runs on the 'if you aim down sights, your first round will go absolutely straight' principle.
certainly, thats how it works, if you aim down sight all that remains is the recoil pattern and visual recoil but spread gets 100% eliminated and is only present when not ads'ing, its a bit different for shotguns but overall the pattern of the buckshot gets tighter with ads for some reason lmao

But when you find toxic players, by god they're some of the worst people.

Anyone else find Siege to be a rather bad spectator esport? Don't get me wrong, the game's fun as fuck to play and I'm glad it has a competitive scene, but watching it isn't as exciting or enjoyable as watching CS. I think this might have to do with observing - it usually starts out in the overview mode but switches to first person as soon as setup ends. What if we stayed in overview during offensive pushes? IMO watching a single player isn't that exciting since there isn't much they can do but hold an angle, roam, or clear rooms, and kills aren't as glamorous as they are in other shooters - watching a push in the overview will help understand the tactics involved (since, imo, Siege relies more on tactics than sick aim) and when it comes down to a 1vX we can switch to first person to see how the single player handles themselves. Sticking to overview mode, I think it'd be good to have some additional information overlaid onto the map to aid visibility. For example, colormarking the tops of walls depending on what's on them, like so: [t]http://i.imgur.com/3937V4a.jpg[/t] where gray is nonbreakable wall, brown is breakable wall, red is reinforced wall, yellow is doorway/window, orange is Castle barricade, etc. Also good to see would be small, unobtrusive icons for gadgets so new players can get an idea of where to place their Jaeger devices, Mute jammers, etc.

It's more fun watching highlights reels from the regular youtubers.
The few times I watched the pro league matches I quite enjoyed them! I find CS is a bore to watch in comparison, but to be honest, I haven't watched a competitive match of CS in a looong time
