In one game a pulse shoots me down to 30 hp because I broke down his barricade, doc instead of healing me tells me to fuck off from his hidy hole, and on the last round some recruit kills pulse because he didn't give him the character he wanted, then mute kills him for tk-ing; We're down 2-0 and we start the round with a 3v5.
That's fine I don't like winning games anyway.

question about the "starter edition" for rainbow six: siege
wouldn't getting this starter edition put you at a permanent handicap? i see no way to simply upgrade from starter to standard and ubisoft just recommends buying rainbow six funbux to get the rest of the operators

Starter edition is not worth it but if you still decide to go ahead and buy it, you can upgrade to the normal edition by buying the normal edition of the game and activating it on your account.

I'll never understand people who play FPS games on console. The aiming is super frustrating and basically caps everyone to a certain skill ceiling.
I remember the good old days of CoD where it wasn't too bad, cause literally everyone played it on console and it was pretty chill to just come home and throw yourself on the couch and goof out with mates, but that was way back in 2010.

It's pretty impressive tho when console users are good even with controllers.
I had a friend come over, he has rainbow six on playstation while I have it on pc.
He wanted to try it on pc with a controller so I plugged my xbox controller in and let him try.
He was consistently in the top half of the team.

I like it quite a bit. I feel more comfortable with a controller in my hand than a keyboard and mouse. It feels a lot smoother with the aim transition, and way less jerky. Part of it was that old COD feel. I always played COD on console when I was younger.
Yeah, a lot of the plats and diamonds use mouse accessories. It can be a bit ridiculous at times. If you're gonna play with a mouse and keyboard, you might as well play on the computer. Otherwise you're in a completely different arena than most of us.
I'll straight up agree with you on the controller being more comfortable. There's a feeling ya just don't get with mouse and keyboard that you get with a controller. It's way more homely and comfy, gives me nostalgia of the good old days running back from school and binging on San Andreas sprawled out on my beanbag chair.
But competitive-wise, M+K takes the cake, and for a game as competitive as R6, I'd hate to be using a controller that seriously hampers my aiming ability. Nothing beats doing a sick little flick of the wrist and instaheadshotting some fool.
Don't underestimate the flick you can put on with a controller. :cool:

My friend had quite the opposite effect. We used to play together passing the keyboard and mouse over inbetween rounds on my computer. We both played pretty decently. Now he's on the Xbox version and while he utterly dominates on that, whenever he comes and plays the PC version he gets rekt to the point he doesn't find it fun to play.
Gold II casual is so frustrating. I feel like I was always decent and was p proud to get to Gold II, but now that casual has been changed, I feel like I'm playing against players who are way way better than me, but it's not like I'm going to go into ranked and rank down on purpose so I can play where I feel my skill level is, but casual just isn't as fun when it feels like I'm stuck playing plat ranked all the time.

It's awful for those of us on the other end, though. When the casual matchmaking change came out my friend and I hadn't finished our ranked placement matches, and it was constantly putting us with and against new players. Like, level 0-50 was all we saw. We had to go tryhard our ranked placement matches to be able to play with better players in casual, but now when we try to play casual it can 15 minutes to get a game, sometimes. I fucking hate whatever change they made.
What are wait times like in ranked?
I really hate the casual matchmaking changes.
With a hodgepodge group I could do consistently okay, but since they use your ranked I do consistently terribly.
They basically took all the bad stuff about ranked, and stuck it in casual and didn't add the good stuff.
