Hibana is leaked to have impact grenades that can break reinforced walls. Although it may instead just be floors.
Echo has some kind of weird drone that does sound shit.

It'd definitely be a change to have to worry about the floor under you exploding and then a lady comes out of the floor like its the grudge and murders you.
It would make sense that Hibana would be able to climb up hatches. Impact grenade that melts reinforced walls would either render mute, bandit and thatcher almost useless or we would just get thermite with a bit more range on the anti-reinforce mat. Plus from the photo of Hibana you can see her wearing climbing harness.
I spoilered the speculation, because last time I didn't (and it was around Borderlands 2 launch) people flipped their shits like never. I am happy, that people are reasonable with spoilers again, I hate tagging EVERYTHING, makes no sense.
But back onto the topic: I think the Thermite-like grenades are more unlikely, because of two reasons:
- they would make Thermite straight-up worse (unless he got buffed, like got more charges or something)
- this thing Hibana is carrying doesn't look like grenades to me, neither does her Icon, nor anything on her (the last one isn't really reliable, but Thermite has his red bag on his model)
And when discussing Echo I want to know if we can stick c4 to his drone. We NEED to be able to do it. The fights would be GLORIOUS then, think about all these fragmovies with Ride of the Valkyries playing in the background.
Her icon and the things coming out of her gun look like some sort of canister but I have no idea what it could be.

If we are going by the original rumors and leaks, they should be non-vaultable kill holes. Not sure how useful that is, but at least Thermite still remains useful and Hibana is basically mini-Buck (mini-mini-Sledge) for reinforced walls.
So, if she makes small holes, wouldn't Thermite be better? Because not only you can shoot through a bigger hole (and see more), but also go through it.

Well Thermite needs to place his gadget on the wall and is very vulnerable doing so. As well as easily bandit tricked. And if he dies, good luck on certain objectives.
Having another operator that can counter bandit tricking as well as breach from a distance might be pretty damn good. Especially with a well placed Blackbeard looking through the killhole.

Also, that is not what art style is.
Japan seems to be just GSG9 2.0 at this point, street clothes with tacticool shit.
I don't mind.

See that's the thing, they need each operator to look unique and instantly recognizable. In reality, nowadays the vast majority of special forces and special police units look kinda all the same and use mostly the same kind of gear and uniforms so if they made them all look realistic, they'd all look almost the same. So they have to take some liberties.
I can dig that gsg9 operators are essentially in their street clothes when they get called to x location and gear up there or whatever, but the japanese operators look like they didn't even gear up at all. one of them is wearing essentially nothing more than a hiking harness and the other guy is wearing a laser tag vest. it's not even remotely practical. and look at the gun that chick has. it looks like it came right out of overwatch

these operators are set up for some NERF shooter made by nickelodeon. some people complained about the BR ops since they looked kind of dorky but I didn't mind them. this is really insulting though. that is if those are even the real ops
