bomb defusal is the best gamemode
Is it just me or is it easier to hear pulse switching between the heartbeat sensor and the gun?
Wallbanged him a couple of times because i Heard him switch. And like in the video i posted last page you can hear it and can then move as soon as you hear it or just be blackbeard and stay "hull down" and shoot him in the face when he comes around the corner :)
no hes just really op. putting a breaching charge anywhere near him? dead. enemy team grouped up? dead. breath oxygen? dead.
Drone and anticipate him coming for a flank. Need max teamwork to stop him though.

problem with that is there's a very easy to do exploit to instantly switch from the heartbeat sensor.
Such a shame I don't have the cash at hand to purchase this right now
I'll definitely be picking it up as soon as the next discount comes around, the game is really fun
Will I be able to keep all the stuff I've unlocked if I purchase it at a later date?
Drone and anticipate him coming for a flank. You know who else takes max teamwork to stop? Any other roamer who uses information well. Valk can do the same shit. Pulse is at a current state where he is playable for once without having you blind as a fucking bat trying to find where the enemies are. Before you would never even see the heartbeat, only detect with "Cardiac sensor +10". Now it's actually functioning. If you want to slightly delay his heartbeat sensor sure but don't take away the new rings.
Someone earlier, mentioned giving his device a battery life to balance it, and that wouldn't be too bad of an idea. It would prompt him to use it more cautiously, like if he thinks he hears foot steps, rather than camping and starting at it.
On an un-related note : After 130 hours in this game, I finally got around to buying a headset/mic. It feels so nice to be able to communicate with the team and seem like I'm playing better because of it.
I think Thatcher's EMP grenades should be able to destroy Pulse's scanner if he's using it and a EMP detonates next to him.
battery would be a cool idea

temporarily disable maybe, not destroy

semi-auto shotgun? check.
c4? check.
wallhack with unlimited use? check.
no option for the enemy team to permanently disable his ability? check.
pulse requires practically no skill to use effectively at this point.
valk needs to know good camera placement, and even then her cameras can be seen and taken out. pulse just needs to use his sensor and he can use it as many times as he wants. i was good with pulse before because it gave me essential information and i've played the game long enough to know what their next move will be. now? you don't need that experience. their markers MOVE FOR YOU. if you were blind as a bat with pulse before that's honestly on you.
he needs to be nerfed big time. and considering how much the community has been justifiably pissed about it, i'm sure it's going to happen eventually. and i honestly can't wait.

Aaaand I am getting frame rate drops again after playing for hours perfectly fine
Big patch coming, no operator buff/nerf atm

I'm actually really enjoying the Siege trial, it being my first Tom Clancy game. It feels like what Counter-Strike was always supposed to be and the solo situations even hearken back to my own TWINE days on the N64 with all the cool gadgets. I just wish people online weren't so damn gung-ho and rush into everything, because I enjoy being cautious and methodical but I feel like I'm just bogging my team down when I do so.
I kinda wish the game would switch to an outright F2P model once this ends. The microtransactions (which seem pretty fair, honestly) could certainly support it if it does so. I'd love to keep playing as just a no-cosmetics free player.

Not sure if F2P would be necessary but I don't really feel like paying 40€ for it
US version of the trailer if the video above doesn't work for you like it does for me (says video is not available):

It was 20€ on GMG a week or two ago, that's where I got it. For that price it's great.

I have nearly 15 days worth of time in game. Being unable to use pulse isn't my fault when it doesn't show the red ring, just pops up with Cardiac sensor. Okay. There is someone approximately 20 yards in front of me.
One thing I don't quite get about the game : are the "defending" operators supposed to be rogue agents? or is there no real "lore" behind it?

Nah, I don't think it was appropriate. I was able to use him effectively just fine before, now I'm a nightmare - and whenever there's an enemy Pulse, HE'S a nightmare. Like I said before, if they plan on keeping this same sensor, they better put a fucking limited use on it. He's much too easy to use now, and they desperately need to remedy that.

its meant to be training. tom clancy didnt want it to be so that players were terrorists, so they set it up as 'training.' anyway, terrorist hunt is the 'real' thing.
Interrogation seems very odd. Dunno how it will play

Hiccups? Bro, the thing is damn near impossible to use in its old state. You had no idea where the enemy was. If you want a delay on position go ahead but the fact they actually show the position now is great.
I'm assuming you can interrogate an enemy from behind without them being in a DBNO state, but I foresee some fuckery with lag and pawn rotation.
Also, I do wonder if you can interrogate an enemy caught by a Welcome Mat. Would be some nice synergy if you can keep a pet attacker until you need to find that last enemy.

No one was complaining about it to an extent that would warrant a buff of this magnitude. It honestly doesn't seem like you were using him right, because now it takes zero effort to be lethal with him, which you now deem as being "finally usable". His ability is powerful enough, being able to know where the enemy is through walls - being able to track them as easily as you can now was way too fucking much. I'm sure his nerf will come some time in season 3, so enjoy how OP he is while you can, I guess. I certainly am, because he's kinda fuckin' ridiculous.
BTW, dunno how many people here check Stream Charts but Siege hit a new all time high of players at 39.3k, way over the last free weekend. Today it's peaked at 35.5k, which seems like pretty damn good retention.
it'll probably peak more when the update comes out
it'll probably peak more when the update comes out
I dunno about that. There are definitely update peaks but nothing beats out the free weekend numbers.
