I got an interesting christmas gift in the form of someone changing the personal information on my Uplay account and requesting a password and email change on it unsuccesfully and adding 2 Factor Authentication. So I can't get in because of the 2FA, and they can't get in because I still control the email and changed the password myself, since completing the email reset doesn't actually require me to have the 2FA. So the account is effectively locked for now. I caught it within a few hours as well at least.
If they knew the password before, they don't now. But I don't think they even knew the password since they tried to do a password recovery, instead of just changing it themselves.

Such I pick this up? I usually like playing more "competitive" shooters like CS: GO or competitive games in general like DoTA 2 with friends, and usually play casaul shooters by myself. Is this still worth a pick up if you're going to be soloing and you're just buying the base game - not any of the season passes?

and yes the base characters are fine but the dlc ones are pretty great too

I almost always solo, and it can be a struggle, especially with the steep learning curve of the game, but it is just such a unique FPS experience that it is worth getting and sticking with even without friends. With friends it would be awesome though.
Don't need season pass since you get a bit of renown (ingame currency) after each match (like 100-300 or something) and you can buy all the DLC operators with renown (25000, a lot, but still free). Just get base game to start with.
gonna take u forever to grind out the dlc operators with currency and you dont get a refund if you decide to buy the season pass
i think the season pass is worth it anyway for $10-$15.

I very rarely play with friends, and I have enjoyed the game since launch. I caved into buying the Season Pass cause the grind for DLC OPs was a bit too much for me and I really do just like the game enough. I only really play casual, though, if that's anything
You can't get the season 1 ops anymore from the season pass so you shit out of luck for the time being. I'm willing to bet the renown price may drop.
yeah, cant get year 1 ops through season pass anymore, only way to get them now is getting the veteran or gold edition that give u the year 1 pass and content

Much like Ubisoft this games community is plagued with cancer. 3 games today I have know-it-all assholes trying to play-by-play me after dying like bitches, and when I die they go, "Yeah that's what you get". Best part is reminding them on who died first, just to have them or their buddy teamkill you upon spawning for the next round. I'm just going to start muting everyone as soon as I load into a match, no point in having my brain cells commit suicide.
I feel like I've been getting a lot more of those types of players recently. I like to wind people up after they start dictating my movements because their inevitable frustration is really funny to me.

Casual is the fucking worst. You get level 150+ with level 10's. You get people who I swear play this game on mute. You get people who are blind. You get coppers playing against diamonds. Its dumb. Nothing about casual is fun.
And its the worst always around the holidays/sales. In the summer it wasnt (as) bad as it is now.
